    Basenji pics (now working)

I already posted pics of Kiya and Sammy on the old board, but figured they could use a reintroduction on the new one.  I need to get some new pics too because Sammy looks so much better now that he's been on a steady diet of Solid Gold.

    Kiya

    Sam

    Sam

Oscar looking quite ferocious (he's just yawning, I promise)

Ok finally got it working, and I don't know why since I didn't do anything differently, I just did it again.  Oh well, won't question my good fortune.

Here's another pic of Kiya too, since I just can't resist posting her pics!

Gah! Why is it so small? Oh well, you can tell she's cute anyway!

    Oh, the anticipation!!!

    Nice pics......kitty does look angry,lol.
I have one of kitty yawning that looks like he's mad too.

Basenjimom, they look great!  Thanks for catching us up - Sam looks so happy and Kiya is always adorable.  Glad it is going so well!

Oh - and I think Oscar is quite handsome, too!

What a couple of beauties! They look great.

Oh, I love, Love, LOVE badsenji pix.  Can I play too?

Basenjis like to play in the snow before they take the sun nap on the back of the sofa.

    Kiya looks ready to spring!

I LOVE Oscar. What a beautiful kitty and what a cool picture.

    [sm=lol.gif] I like the Sammy close-up.

Thanks everyone.  I'll have to post a picture of Oscar not looking ferocious so you can see his cute adorable face.  He even has 1 curly whisker!

    Agile your basenjis are gorgeous!

We had our first rain in 143 days this past weekend (what can I say I live in a desert) and you should have seen the betrayed looks my pups were giving me.  It was quite the ordeal to get them outside to potty.  I wonder what mine would think of snow.  I'm fairly certain neither one has ever seen it.

Actually snow is easier for my dogs than rain.  Rain is evil, evil, evil.  Or so sayth the badsenji.

Was Sammy a BRAT dog?  My first basenji was a r/w female.  I love the pic of Sammy's nose.  And you have to post another pic of your kitty.  I'm not convinced it is safe for the basenjis to be with the animal you posted.  Scary!
    • Gold Top Dog
Actually, they are both BRAT rescues.  Sammy certainly lives up to the name.  He's actually calming down now, I think he's finally adjusting to having someone to love him all the time.

Well here are a few new pictures, as you can see Oscar isn't the fearsome beast he appeared in the first picture.

Here are a few more. The first one is me with Kiya and Oscar (in the peaceful pre-Sam days).  The 2nd one is showing off Sammy's ultra curly basenji tail!

I'm glad that the basenjis aren't in any danger from Oscar.

I should also explain to non-basenji people that I did not call basenjimom's dogs brats.  I asked if Sammy was a BRAT dog.  BRAT is Basenji Rescue And Transport.  [:D]  Of course many basenjis are brats even if they aren't BRAT dogs.  I've done some fostering for BRAT and Co. Basenji Rescue, but neither of my dogs are rescues (well, except the malinois).  If you have a rescue dog, send updates to the foster mom.  I still wonder about the ones I've fostered.
