    Hi Rozie!
Great new pictures. Keep them coming!
And thanks for the compliment, that's my little girl and her name is Chinook. She is just about 19 weeks and growing like a weed. Yesterday we went to the vet's and she weighed 12.5kg.  It baffles the mind! Just a few short weeks ago at her 16 week visit she weighed 10 kg. They do grow quick, don't they?

    Welcome!! Your guys are beautiful!!

Aww yes they do grow quick, we have had Mya a week today and she has already grown. We have her 1st injection at the vet tonight, she has already been for a check up and the vet was really pleased with her size etc. She is such a sweet pup, but she really enjoys Sam's company and sometimes my partner feels like he doesn't exist she doesn't acknowledge us as much as Sam did when he was a pup, i hope its because she only had contact with dogs as she was a kennel dog when we bought her home :( o well im sure within time she will realise we are the ones she needs to be pals with lol..

Your pups are beautiful!  Glad to see that they are bonding well.  We just added another pup, a Golden Retriever named Samwise, to our house recently and he's hooked on our first, an Aussie named Ruby.  We hope Samwise eventually figures out that we live here, too.  [;)] I hope you enjoy your stay here - you'll find lots of great information.  And we love pictures so keep them coming! Christi ;PS to KKelly - what kind of dog is Chinook?  So gorgeous...

Hi guys, thanks you all for your lovely comments, Mya went to the vets tonight and all was well, we asked a few questions in regards to her behaviour, and we are having to except that maybe this is just her way, Huskys are a funny breed but i would apreciate anyone's input on the situation as we really feel she is quite a strange little pup. She barks at us alot when playing and im not sure if i feel threatned by it or if i find it funny.. i mean its a menacing bark and sometimes i feel like i should move my face out of the way.. anyways now we have another problem Sam has started crying when jumping up, walking up stairs etc i think he may have pulled a muscle if there is no improvement tomorrow then another vet trip is in order.. typical how it happens all at once.. sigh... hey ho good night all..

    Yay, another Mal owner! [:D]

    Both your puppers are beautiful!

What kind of 'problems' are you having with Mya?

The barking sounds normal... Mals tend to be noisey during play time.. though I don't know about sibes.

You should fit in well as we all expect pics and you came one shutters ablazin'.

Sibes can forget training when it suits them. They play hard. They lick faces (submission) but will mount (dominance). If you're not the leader, they will take over. They don't play fetch like a lab. They dig and chew, especially if they are bored. They like tug o' war. They have the innate desire to run really fast for a long time. They need exercise. They were initially bred to pull hard and run fast on very little food in some of the coldest weather on Earth. Their metabolism is different than a lot of dogs. Their metabolism is slow but it is geared up by exercise or work.

But they are people friendly and will show their love with a flying tackle at 20 to 30 mph. So, training, training, training. They can't be trusted off-leash. I read of one instance where a Sibe had a championship off-leash obedience award. One day, he saw or smelled something and bolted, never to be seen again. Unloaded, a Sibe can run 30+ mph for 10 minutes or more. At a slower pace, they can run for hours. They've been fed everything from raw to commercial kibble. You'll have to find what suits you guys. They are a magnificent breed (my favorite, as if you couldn't tell) and, for their size and weight, are some of the fastest, most powerful dogs in the world. Being part Mal will certainly increase pulling strength.

Welcome to the board.  Your babies are both very beautiful and I also love the ears on the little one.

Thank u all for the welcomes, really nice of u. Its so nice to find a board where i can talk about the most important things in my life..but please don't tell my partner that, even tho im sure he already knows. Sam went to work with daddy today so me and the pup can have some quality time together, its nice, she is such a clever girl and already sits and stays when asked. Im sure alot of that is to do with watching Sam but never the less she has picked it up. I will be sure to keep the photos coming. Pamelmtl your babies are lovely and ron thank you for your input, i have heard alot about never letting huskys off their leash i don't ever want to lose her, i can't wait to watch her grow she is so pretty. Pumaward, she just seems to be a bit unsociable at times and very into Sam, she wags her tail but kisses are very minimal did u notice this with your Mal??
