Random Misadventures of the Looney Bin

I've been really busy since the move, and I've had some of these pics for a few days. I'd been meaning to post them but just never got around to it so without further delay...

Here's a random turtle who ever-so-slowly walked from the swamp behind the house, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall the way across the yard to drop her eggs, then walked aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall the way back. She was pretty determined.

A few days ago, we took Brown and Grey to Grand Isle, LA. Hurricanes wipe that place out all the time. I didn't take pics of some of the damage, but many folks were rebuilding their camps after the cleaning-up process.

Here's the pier in the state park. The part that goes into the water was knocked down a few years ago by a storm. They rebuilt it only to be knocked down again so now it's closed indefinitely. The park itself, however, is fine. The trees were uprooted and most of them died, and there isn't much left of the old fort that can be viewed from the park.

Here's Brown and one of his best friends, Mallory. Mallory jumped into our vet's truck one rainy night and stayed at the clinic until someone wanted her. I took her home, and my good friend kept her. Mallory is 30 lbs. but plays with Brown like she's 150 lbs. Mal is also the only dog other than Brown that Grey will really play with.

It took a few minutes for Charlie to get over the fact that Mallory was in our house. So for a while, he just stared at her until he decided it was time to do other things.

And finally, Grey SWORE he didn't get into the paint. I don't know why I didn't believe him.

I think Grey pushed him into it!

I like Charlie's pic in the box of water bottles!  Cats seem to squeeze into the most unlikely places!

It was the cat (its always the cat)!  The cat painted poor Grey- Grey would never do anything bad like play in paint!

Yes it's always the cat. Great pics, that was funny.

Wow! That's quite a big turtle. We had one in are yard the other day but was not even half the size of that one[8D]

Great Pics! Love the one with Grey in the paint....lol. Not as fun to wash off I'm sure[;)]

Geez, I'm a dunce.  I meant Brown put the paint on Grey.  I can't even get names right when they're practically right in front of my face!

LOL too funny!  You caught him white painted.  (instead of red handed...)  Okay... my attempt was a bit off...[;)]

    Cute pictures!

Poor Grey. I don't know why you don't believe him. Clearly Charlie painted him while Deuce held him down.  LOL!

BTW, I keep meaning to tell you that Grey's twin has been spotted at our dog park.  He looks EXACTLY like Grey, except he only has one white leg.  I actually had to look a few times to make sure it wasn't Grey, despite the fact that the park is in California and you are in Louisiana. [8|]

Grey must have a few look-alikes out there. Before we moved, my mom and I were in the vet's office in Starkville when we noticed a dog coming in that looked just like Grey. I wonder if it was his littermate...it's possible considering we were in the same town we adopted Grey.

Is that turtle a Red Eared Slider? I think so, but I can't see the ears to be sure.
