Rescue kittens almost a year later....

I can't believe how big the rescue kitties are getting..... they are pretty much cats now. It's funny because I see their parents everyday at work, and then I come home and see how spoiled and lucky these guys are! The grey one is Bagee and the black one is Bishop.

Gorgeous kitties!  I love their names too.  Are you sure they're not foster failures??? :o)

Oh they pretty much were foster failures! [;)

They are kittens from the barn cats at work who are basically feral. The barn cats have names, plus food water and shelter, but forget about touching them. (Some are less afraid of humans then others.) Anyway one of the friendlier barn cats had 3 kittens last summer. DH who was formerly a cat-hater (until we got Fatty Kitty, whom he adores) fed them all summer.

I of course am destined to be a crazy cat woman, and wanted them. DH said "no" because we already had 2 dogs and 2 cats. So I spent weeks bugging people non-stop, trying to find them homes. One Sunday, the 3rd kitten in the litter was hit by a truck, and DH called and told me to come pick up the remaining two kittens. We got their shots and had them neutered, and they finally started to get along with the dogs and our other cats. Now they are part of our furry family, and I love them even if they can be the baaaaaaaaad little boy kitties sometimes![:D]

They're be-you-ti-ful boys, Karin!  Both quite handsome and content looking, but I have a thing for grey cats...Bishop does look like a very LONG kitty.  My Iggy is a long, lean, sleek grey boy, too!

I think all it takes is just one special kitty to change the hearts of some people.  I was never a cat person.  I didn't hate them, just never really thought about them much.  Well, that was until I met Arthur.  Arthur was an amazingly regal boy.  He was part Maine Coon & became a good friend of mine.  We slept together while I was staying @ his owner's house & when I left, he still slept on the bed I used.  He missed me.  He lived to a very respectable age of 22.

Are Bagee's stripes as subtle as they seem?  He's stunning.
