These are just some pictures I've taken over the last few months of doggies from the animal shelter I volunteer at. I thought you guys would like to see these adorable creatures! [

]
This is Amelie. She's a one year old poodle mix and absolutely the sweetest, quietest little thing I've ever met. Yesterday, when I was at the shelter she was on hold for someone until the end of the day, so hopefully she got to go to her forever home! [

]
This is Aries, a basenji/bull terrier mix. Aries was...I will not lie, a complete psycho. [

] Luckily for him, some of us saw some glimmer of hope underneath the torn up bedding and the crazy bark [

] Heck, I would have taken him home if I could have, but someone beat me to it! He's on his way to making someone a wonderful pet. He went to his forever home a few weeks back.
This is Chris...Chris is a lab/border collie mix who's been at the shelter for years. He could play fetch all day, every day and never get tired [

] I just can't believe no one has taken him home yet! He's just the nicest old man anyone could hope for.
This is Jim, a very nice, playful, handsome black cocker spaniel. Jim went to his forever home just the other day! [

] Yay, Jim! I'll miss you, sweetie!
This is Lucky. I don't know who took her home, but thank goodness for such kindhearted people. Lucky had tons of health problems including severe hip dysplasia as a youngster. She had an operation recently which resulted in her hind legs being very close together and leads to a kind of hopping gait with her hind legs. She was a lovely girl and I just know she's making someone very, very happy.
Last but not least is Quincy! Quincy is still at the shelter and is one of my very good buddies. He's super energetic, but is a big, soft gentleman deep down. [

] Plus, look at how cute he issss! I hope that when the time comes for me to adopt doggies of my own, there's someone just like Quincy waiting there for me to take him home.
Thanks for looking, guys! I've gotten to know all those dogs (and many, many more) in the months I've been volunteering at the shelter. It's a rewarding thing to do...and confusing. Of course, you want the dogs to go into homes, but you also miss them once they're gone and you don't get to see them any more...[

] I love every minute of being there and I love these little guys to pieces. Thanks for taking the time to let me share them with you! [
