My dragons

    My dragons

They don't breathe fire, but they do have beards
Yusuke (not really mine, but I kept him for a friend for a year before. He returned in January and was supposed to leave in February, so I think he is mine to keep)

    Woodrow

Tehko (who is now much bigger than this, but I couldn't find a better one of him)

Not pictured are Draco and Dexter, because I have none at all of Draco, who I hope does return to her owner, and Dexter because the picture I thought was him isn't him.

I've owned beardeds before. They were great!! Very active when little but after about 8months of age became the biggest couch potatoes in the world. Damitree (the male I had) would LOVE to watch animal planet and Steve Irwin. But the second that Jeff Corwin came on, he would start to puff his beard out and it would turn black. Then he would turn AWAY from the TV until the show was over. Quite a character!

He's cool.  I thought you'd like to see one of the iguana's I sit for.  He and I had to come to an "understanding" pretty early on.  [:)]

Yup, I do like the iguana!
My dragons are very lazy too now that they're older. They don't move unless it's for food I think. Max barks at Draco sometimes, because she's in the bottom spot of the dragon case I built, so he can see her. She doesn't even find him worth puffing her beard up at most the time.

My son has been after me for a year to get him one. I jsut can't decide what to get. I had a camilain, and anoles (mind the spelling) I know the anoles would not be good for him, fast little buggers and they liked to pinch. Very nice pics[;)]

Well, if you want my opinion, Beardies are great. They're like the dogs of the reptile world. Once they get older, they love to just hang out on your shoulder.

Very cool beardeds [:)]  I'd love to get one, but the wife has set limits on 4 legged creatures in the house :)

Angel--I have to say, after sitting for all kinds of snakes and toads and stuff, if I was to get a reptile or critter like this, I'd get the iguana.

My reasons are they don't need live food and the smaller ones are pretty easy to handle.  The one in my picture, I've got to be so careful, the tail and claws can be really dangerous.  But, he's really big most aren't that size.

Thanks. I don't mind feeding crickets to them. i feed them to my ducks. I really love frogs. I love them so much when I was a kid my room was filled with them. I had albino frogs, tree frogs, water frogs, and a few other kinds. I would really like to get a frog, but I have to rememeber it's not for me, it's for my son, so I have to let him decide.[&:]

You know, the beardies really are much nicer than the iggies. I only fed mine live food for about the 1st week. Now they eat pellet food. The iguanas get much bigger, as where the bearded dragons stay at around 18 inches. Beardies like to perch up on your shoulder, and since they don't move much once they get older, you can get away with taking them in to public places. I've tricked many a person in to believing that they were not real since they didn't move.
