    A Good Reason to Rescue

It turns out that Anne (mmthomason) volunteers @ the shelter in Arkansas where Grady spent some time.  She sent me some more pictures of my boy.  Besides the fact that they do kinda help me understand some of his issues these pictures make a great case for rescuing.

    I give you Buddy

    Now Grady

Oh my !  His "Buddy" picture.....no wonder you grabbed him up.   How could anyone see that face and not want to "make it all better" for him ??

    That is so awesome!
I didn't think about it before I got Bugsy from the SPCA but I feel more and more pleased that we rescued a pup.  Now I just have to keep myself from trying to rescue all of them [:D]

Mindy, that wasn't his petfinder picture but if it had been I would have grabbed him faster.  All I want to do now that I've seen more of his pictures is just hold him & keep him even safer.  He's my snuggle buddy.

Callie, I never really thought I've made that much of a difference in his life.  Now I do think I have.  I've just been thinking how much would be missing in my life if I hadn't rescued him.  The thought of him being put to sleep because no one wanted him is too much for me to handle.  He's not the best trained boy.  He's rude & crude, but he's my boy & I love him!!  He's a great snuggler & makes me laugh like no one else has been able to.  He's my therapy dog.

Ya, Karen, that's why I don't even look @ petfinder.  I'd want to take them all!!

Holy smokes, that first pic is just to die for!  What a sweetheart!  I spend wayyy too much time at petfinder...[:D] Even though I still live at home and I'll be going to college next year...At least I can daydream about getting my own doggie after college graduation sometime!  [;)]

Poor Gwady looked so sad in that first pic. Those ears! He's so lucky to have such a good mommy. [:)]

Besides the fact that I love to show off my boy, [:)] that's my point.  You can very easily make a difference in a life & maybe even lead by example.

Annie, you can really see the happiness in Grady and I know you love him with all you got!!! And I know what you mean about them making you laugh when no one else can.. sometimes I wonder who rescued who... did I rescue Boss, or did he rescue me???

Hugs and skritches to Grady and Aspen and hugs for you too!!!

What a gorgeous boy!  he looks so happy in the second picture.  If I don't know how anyone could say no to that first picture.
    • Gold Top Dog
What a difference! He looks so happy and confident now that he's with you.

I know this may sound stupid, but that would make me love him even more.  He looks so sad and bewildered in his shelter picture.  You are both so very lucky to have each other!!

When did you take that second picture? I hadnt seen it before but it is SO lovely!! I love the apples in the background.

I got upset when I found the pictures too. It made me sad to think of what your poor boy went through and how scared he looked. Poor guy..

Trust me you made a HUGE difference in his life. He is very lucky to have found you as are you that you found him :)
