    Bugsy's 1st snow!

Didn't have any snow last year and its only a tiny bit, but at least he got a chance to check it out.  He was looking up in the sky trying to not get hit by it (very funny).  Then tried to eat a path off the deck then trying to scratch it, pounce it on it etc very very funny.  Moves too fast to get any decent pics but here are a few
sorry going to take a few posts........

I wish you were here Grady to pway with me - I bet you know where it goes when it lands. I kept sniffing and sniffing but couldn't find it!

(whereabouts in PA are you?  My sister lives in Boiling Springs near Carlisle)

Aww, I just realized where you live.  You got snow??????  That's just not right!!  I'm about an 1.5 hours NE of Carlisle.

Bugsy, dude, the snow just is there.  I never try to figure it out.  If I were dere to pway wif you you'd be so busy pwaying you wouldn't even worry where it goes.

I love snow, too.  Now that it's January, we FINALLY have some!  So even in Wisconsin we're terribly short of teh stuff.  However, it's snowing now!!!

Is Bugsy a serious dog?  Ah, he definately needs some Grady time.  Grady only takes food seriously.  He kinda takes after me, I guess. ~L~

nah he's basically very silly as he is being right now squeaking a Cuz and prancing and stalking it around the house - but he does think and never turns off.  just the other day we were having to review the doorbell and knocking on the door without going nuts with excitement, so my DH & I were taking turns going outside and ringing or knocking while the other managed nutsy.  Well I did the front door and then the back door  & we switched.  DH did front door and Bugsy watched him walk away through the side window and went straight to the back door in anticipation.  This was the first time we did it like this and never use the back door so he had figured out what was happening after doing it once.
When we took him to the lake the first time @ 5 mos old.  he looked quizzically at the water.  Tapped it with his paw, sniffed it, put 1 foot in very carefully as if it was a false bottom.  This continued for some time.  We tried to distract him by throwing sticks but he would ever so gently walk to where the stick was and delicately pick it up off the top of the water.  If we found one that sunk it took ages before he'd get it for all his figuring out where it really was [&:]  He still checks out water before he goes in and never stops surveying his surroundings regardless of whatever he may be doing at the time (his girlfriend the young golden is so into swimming and retrieving she doesn't notice the geese or boats, but he will stop in his tracks if a fly whizzes by).
I am so used to labs that just plunder through everything that I marvel at Bugsy.  And sometimes get frustrated.  I wish I were some advanced dog owner - you could train him to do anything and he enjoys learning immensely.  I feel I am not worthy
He too takes his food very seriously although he shares with others (see pic)
He got the hang of the snow and has done many zoomies, eaten much, and has been ringing his bell to go out every 10 minutes or so.  I feel bad that he won't likely see it again for awhile although they say we may get a bit more on Sunday.
