• Pictures of my dog! g33 Posted : 12/13/2006 5:23:10 PM I'm new and finally had a chance to upload some pics of my beautiful boy, Cole, a black Lab.  So here he is!  I love him, he is the best and sweetest dog.  He's going to be 6 at the end of January.  He is a rescue that I adopted in July 2002 when he was about 17 months old.  Christmas 2004 Begging me to play with a toy (he makes this face alot, LOL) Cooling off in some mud after some ball playing Looking all smooshy-faced as he snuggles on a new bed Looking noble and gorgeous - one of my favorite pictures of him. • g33 Posted : 12/13/2006 5:42:20 PM LOL, actually that picture was a bit scary.  I was exercising him around 6:30am in a local park.  It was probably about 70-degrees F out and a bit humid.  He became overheated and actually kind of collapsed into the mud puddle.  I used to play with him and my girl at the same time, and he would often refuse water because he didn't want her to get his toy!  So in this case, he played til he dropped.  Luckily, he was fine.  0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • g33 Posted : 12/14/2006 12:41:26 PM Thanks so much!   Bunny was only 4, so it was very hard.  She was physically healthy but had aggression issues.  She was a rescue with a hard start to life.  I tried to manage her for 3 years after she bit my ex boyfriend, and after I got married my husband and I just weren't up for all that was required to orchestrate our life, visitors, stepdaughter, etc. around her issues.  Don't worry, she was medically evaluated, I worked with a behaviorist for many months, and she was re-evaluated again before PTS.  It didn't make it any easier.  I miss her even though she was a total whack job.    Cole is a purebred Lab and so although his coat is coarse, it is oily, so it is always shiny.  He's always been on a good diet also.  0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
