• Valerie Wilson Posted : 12/6/2006 3:03:50 PM Ya it was great fun.  Hawk torn his ear in two on a barbed wire fence though. That is him looking pitiful in the crate.  There was blood all over the side of him and on me.  I flagged down a truck and went to my car to get some field first aid.  I stapled his ear back together, put on some antibiotics, emt gel and wrapped it all up.  Good thing he had is vest on there could have been more damage to his body. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available. • Valerie Wilson Posted : 12/6/2006 3:37:44 PM Yes it is healed up.  Actually it looks better then I thought it would. There is a slight bump where the two pieces of ear were "glued" back together but overall it looks like a vet stitched him up.  This is the second time I had to provide him with first aid in the field.  The last time I stitched up his left rear leg after he put in an inch long gash in it.  I flushed the would with saline and scrubed it with iodine scrub.  Then I gave him 3 stitches.  He is really a good patient. 0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
