    Lazy Day Dogs

Dango in her favorite spot looking out the window. Minky, Kuma, and Cinnamon on the couch. Bandit on the floor.  Smokey vacated the one remaining cushion seconds before I snapped the pic.  And to think a trainer told me I could NEVER have 4 Japanese dogs living in harmony together!

    Very harmonious, indeed!

Angela, what breed are your dogs?  I had not realized they were "Japanese" dogs.

Thanks for the nice comments.  Cinnamon is a Ryukyu Inu/ yellow lab mix.  Her pups' (Dango, Minky, Kuma) sire was a Ryukyu Inu.  She was bred in Okinawa. There are very few in the US, and they are not recognized by any dog club that I know of as a registered breed.
They have a personality much like a Shiba Inu They are very very bonded to their family and to each other, but wary of strangers.  They are truly the most intelligent dogs I have ever lived with.  A good way to describe them is being aware of every nuance in their environment.
I lovingly refer to them as my wonderful little freaks of nature [:D]

Bandit, of course, is a Siberian Husky, and was here before the yellow dogs.  Smokey (camera shy) is a shepard/husky mix shelter rescue.

that is an absolutely brilliant picture.  It makes me want to adopt a second - fifth dog to have a big happy family like that to take pics of.  Then i remember what a handful the pup i have is...

How nice that your crew gets along so well! I'm going to go research ryukyu inus now. I love japanese breeds, if you can't tell!
