She is darling and Jacob is so sweet with her - congratulations and thank you for taking her in!

Wow - 6 weeks is about the youngest I've ever heard of for spaying.  I know there are sometimes issues female dogs have that are associated (rightly or wrongly, I don't know) with early spaying.  Our girl came through rescue and was spayed likely before a first heat and our vet said some dogs will experience persistent vaginitis.  We thought Mia might be having this problem, but a longer course of antibiotics cured that and infection from reaction to suture material.

There is a condition known as spay incontinence, but I don't think you should worry about this unless you see symptoms.

Again, congrats - she's clearly very thankful!

She's a doll! It looks like she's going to be a big girl--but that could just be the angle of the pictures.

What is she doing in the second picture?? That's an inapproprately places paw. [;)] Lol!

Sweet dog! Here's a thread I started about early spaying/neutering not long ago.http://forum.dog.com/asp/tm.asp?m=151652
