    New Addition to the family???

I need another cat like I need a hole in the head right?? but I guess when you have 7 already, what difference does one more make??

For a few days I saw this little kitty in my yard and could hear it howling. The other night I let the dogs out then noticed this poor little kitty on the deck. I tried to grab it as both the dogs surrounded it and it bit the heck out my hand, then jumped down. The dogs got a hold of it and I thought sure it was a goner! Boss literaly put the thing in his mouth and tossed it in the air. I was screaming like crazy, BF came and got the dogs and I tried to help the kitty. Thank God it didn't get hurt. I brought it in the house and gave it something to eat. I noticed it had a collar on it so I figured if I put it back outside it would find it's way home. the next morning the cat was on my front porch howling and shivering.. so in the house the little kitty came.

I let it stay down in the basement for a couple days and fed it and talked to it. I brought it upstairs tonight for a much needed bath, removed a bunch of burrs from it's matted fur and discovered it's actually a very cute kitty. I thought at first it was a girl because it had a pink and purple flowered collar on, but I think it has testicles.. still wet so I can't tell all that close.

So, here it is. I am trying desperately to find someone to take it in. It's terrified of Boss and Gracie and the rest of the cats. Boss is behaving himself with it now and even got very upset when it was crying during it's bath and Boss got up to lick it.

Kitty was very thirsty and crawled in the toilet for a drink. The bowl is the water after it's bath.

It is a cute cat.  I love all cats, though, so I can't say any cat is not cute.  [;)]

Since it had a collar, will you be making posters to put up?

    Good luck with him/her!

Awww..what a wonderful thing to do, taking this sweet kitty in.

I think you should put "found" flyers up and if no one claims him keep him :)

Trishanne - if the poor little thing is frightened in your house of the other animals, imagine how frightened it was outside - poor baby.  Very cute.  You could try the fliers - it may have been an indoor cat that got out accidentally and has wandered too far to find it's way home!

Update on the kitty... it's still here, seems that this will be it's home from now on. I did locate the people who call themselves its owners... they also have the 3 other kittens running the streets in just as bad of shape as this one. They howl outside my door too. No, I can't take them all in, 8 is enough but I will keep and give this one a home.

I will not let that kitten go back to those situations. They don't seem to mind at all when I let them know the kitty won't be returning.

I can't save them all, I wish I could but I know this one is clean, safe, warm and making itself quite comfy here... and even getting use to Boss and the rest of the crew. Now if I could just settle on a name, if I'm not careful it's going to think it's name is kitty forever!

Trish, you are a softie!  That's one of the many reasons I like ya.  Kitty found an awesome home with you.  Thank you for taking him in.
