    Chinook got her 1st/ trophy

Chinook did beautifully. We are very proud, she got the third highest marks and is the only puppy out of the bunch that was able to test.

The rest of the day was a blast...it was a 5 km walk along the canals and the village..back for games, the club had an omelet meal for all who came ( about 70 people) then it was more games and romping in the rain. We got there at 9 and didnt leave till after 5. Unfortunately we forgot our camera, and didnt get any pictures from yesterday but i took a few with her trophy our rain soaked badge and her new squeeky that she won this morning.

Nah, you're not out of it... She isn't in competition yet, this was for her brevet in obedience at our dog club.
It was never my intention to go competition when i began our training... I just wanted to ensure good manners and  a well behaved girl, keep her challenged, etc... Then move on to agility.

We recently have been able to add in about a 10 minutes run through of some of the agility obstacles after her obedience classes.. However, now I am on the fence. Chinook does so well in obedience, and truly seems to enjoy it. I would say for her breed, she is rather low keyed. We work very well together and she has proven to be quite intuned to my slighest move and reall wants to please. The club has taken to calling her  "Le Petit Champion." And they are trying to pursuade me to go onto St. Hubert and compete. We'll see, she'll be six months this week. So I still have plenty of time to think and work up to that level of training.

I do not know how different things are over here,  or how they compare to the AKC or the CKC. This is my first foray into formal training.

Probably more info then you cared for, huh? [;)]

I see you are from GA ...We went to a Frisbee clinic up in the northern part of Belgium a few weeks back and the man who instructed it flew over from Atlanta. They make the  Hyperflite Discs and he and his partner were both previous World Champs. We had a ball! And I learned how to throw the frisbee in some pretty cool ways!!!

Okay, okay..I'll be quiet now. I think i have had too much caffine today![:D]

Oh your Chinook is so beautiful - Congrats on her trophy... Everytime I come online here and see your signature with Chinook I mean to tell you how absolutely gorgeous she is.  I live in Quebec and when I saw you mention competion in St-Hubert I thought it was funny because we have a town called St-Hubert also - I know that your second language in Belgium (or perhaps your first) is French (correct me if I am wrong).  Unfortunately my French is limited but I keep trying to learn as I work in it everyday here in Quebec.  I was born and raised in Quebec but in a small Anglophone community and now as I get older I go why did I not learn more French... my kids speak it though which is a good thing!!!!  French, Italian and Spanish are my favorite languages.
