Im trying so hard to find a place like that where we have privacy and land so we can have horses and not see any freaking neighbors, but also not too too far out because DH already drives about 45 min to work
Unfortunately, we still have neighbor issues. I don't want to live far out enough where hundreds of acres are cheap, and I've not won the lottery, yet, so neighbors it is[

The pond is VERY clean. It's pretty great. It's been there for 20 years, and it's spring fed. There is work put into keeping it clean, though. It has to be kept colored slightly blue, to keep algae from growing (and not have to put herbicide in it, which we don't want to do), and we had to install a fountain, to keep the air flowing to the fish. We feed the fish, because they're fun to watch. Lots of birds, deer, rabbits, and other creatures come to drink, which is neat. I like it a lot.
