    Christmas week Chat - 2014

Who knows if anyone will see this, buried among all the old threads that were revived with new junk posts.

Just wanted to tell my forum friends "Merry Christmas" in case no one checks in before Thursday.  I'll be having a very short day at work tomorrow.  Yay!

I hope everyone enjoys a peaceful and fun holiday with family, friends, pets, and anyone else involved in your celebrations!

I am just getting my Christmas cards ready to mail, so they will be late :-) Or, early if you celebrate Epiphany!

Merry Christmas and happy holidays to all.

Merry Christmas to all!!  I'm at work today til mid-afternoon and then the insanity starts.  For us Christmas Day is almost laid-back.  Hope all have a great day, with the best company and good times and good health to all.

Merry Christmas to all from NY. Most of our snow is gone so might be a green Christmas here.

Happy free day off of work on Thursday to all! Stick out tongue

We may not have a white Christmas either, but most likely it'll be wet. I call it refilling the Great Lakes.

Wishing you all peace, good health, and really good chocolate. Big Smile

Music I'm dreaming of a soggy Christmas, just like the ones in Oregon! Music

I wouldn't be surprised if Santa leaves his convertible sleigh at home and opts for a sedan tonight; it's really pouring here!

Best wishes to you Kate, Glenda, Kait, Callie, Maureen, and Tina.  I may not have total control over whether my holiday will involve peace and good health, but I've got your chocolate decree covered, Tina.  In fact, I've gone way overboard the past week!

Its odd...Chicago has a bad snow storm and the rest of us are getting monsoon type rains.  Supposed to be 55 here today and almost that warm tomorrow.

Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas!   The rain has finally stopped in time for Santa, and it should be a sunny day!   I will have 4 grandchildren making holiday madness here, but I will love it!

Hope everybody had a safe holiday.  I think I gained about 5 lbs.  I may feel like eating Sunday of Monday.  I thought we were going to see the sun yesterday, but just more gray skies.  There is NO snow left here. Lots of mud though.

Daughter in law took Sky for a run through a park yesterday.  Muddy trail, loamy woods, mucky swamps.  Sky had a great time, but got a bath before being allowed into the garage.  Apparently he had a really good time running through every puddle.  He has a real physical need to run his legs off frequently, but every run needs a bath right now.  But cold is forecast.

Pup is growing up.  We were walking and he alerted-another dog coming to meet him-and wow, did he look good. I think I have a winner here.  Now, if his brain starts working.

One week of work left.  This will be the week where the fun calls appear.  The ones with call backs for parts or cascading problems.  Apple jack cures all problems. That, and a bad attitude.

I too hope that everyone had a safe and happy holiday.  Ours was quiet, but nice, with periodic periods of missing Mike.  That's to be expected I'm sure.

I think we all gained 5 pounds here too Doug!  The day started out with homemade, old fashioned cinnamon rolls, then progressed to all sorts of nibbles, including DH's favorite, shrimp cocktail.....2 lbs of large shrimp so no shortage there!  DS typically hits the meat and cheese tray pretty hard, and the cookie tray.  After eating all day, of course there had to be a big dinner, and dessert, and my stomach actually bothered me most of the night.  Old gal isn't quite so cast iron as she used to be!

That beautiful pup just needs time for his brain to catch up with his body, Doug!  But, you are right....he IS a winner!

We have no snow here either.....lots of mud, heavy winds but today we actually had BLUE skies and lovely, glorious sunshine!!  First time in about 3 weeks we've gotten an entire day of sunshine and we sure appreciated it!

I'm off for a bubble bath.

We had a nice, quiet Christmas here, too. Today, it was sunny and well above freezing, so I worked outside and actually planted some left-over bulbs I had. Who knows if they'll make it, but I figured it was worth a try.  We have gotten a lot of rain lately--probably to make up for all the rain we didn't get this summer.

Mozey's "Gotcha Day" anniversary is tomorrow--I can't believe she's been here 3 years already!  I bought special treats for her celebration.

Doug, sounds like Jr. is doing really well--I am biased, though, 'cuz I love springers!

Hey, if you guys only feel like you've gained 5 pounds, you're doing way better than I am.  The thought of putting jeans on today was too much -- stretchy leggings are all I can tolerate.  As I often say this time of year, "Seasons Eatings!"

We had a quiet Christmas lunch with my MIL and another couple who weren't with their families that day.  I tried to eat reasonable portions, but my friend brought homemade blackberry pie, and I couldn't resist.  Our neighbors, who had us over for Christmas Eve dinner, insisted we come over again for Christmas dinner, so we went there for prime rib later that night.  My stomach was probably as bad as yours, Glenda.  Just too much at this age!

Kate, I can't believe you've had Mozey for 3 years!  Give her some Gotcha Day nose kisses from me!
