    Wednesday Chat! WHUT?! Yes!

Officially Wednesday on the East Coast, so I'm starting the Weds Chatter.

Been MIA from posts for a while due to some "technical difficulties" of my own.  How is everyone doing?  Gracie and I are doing just fine.  Gracie turned 11 years old last month.  To think, she was not quite 4 when I joined dog.com... time truly flies.

Hope you all get the weather you want today - Rain for Karen if she wants it, sun for the rest of you? ;)

Great to see you again!  And so very nice to find a chat started!

We're not getting the forecast weather which was 76 and sunny, but rain instead.  I'll take the cooler temps without complaint and even the rain.  The heat has been bothering me more lately, most likely due to the addition of the stupid sling and pain.......

Oh to start another day.  Hope everyone else has a good one!

Waving at Paige! Good to see you. Hard to believe Gracie is 11.

We are getting much-needed rain today.

Busy here, I'd best get crackin'.

Rain is good!!!  Saves lots of time watering our huge garden since the soaker hoses aren't in place yet.   :)

Hey Paige, nice to see you around.  Kisses to Gracie.  I can't believe she's 11.

Lots of hot sunshine here today.  We picked our first tomatoes yesterday.  yum.

Last night was Belles reactive rover class.  Things went really well.  I need to update that thread.

Tomorrow I'm attending a city council meeting for the little town where our office is located.  The animal shelter's budget is on the agenda.  Supposedly a new council member has suggested the shelter needs to do more with less money.  I'll be offering my opinion of that plan.

Paige!  Hi!  Nice to hear from you.  I hope you can pop around more often.  How are things in New England?  I cannot believe Gracie is 11.  Next time you visit, we'd love to see a photo of your beautiful girl.

You go get 'em, Jackie!  Something many people don't understand is that a successful animal shelter benefits EVERYONE in a community, not just the animal lovers.  If you hate the problems stray cats or roaming dogs cause for you, then you should be glad your town has a facility that can provide the services to help reduce those problems.  A place that helps keep pets sterilized and healthy, in homes as successfully as possible, maybe even providing training and behavior classes, etc. means that your neighborhood will be more pleasant to live in, even if you don't have a pet yourself.  It's so short sighted to cut budgets for things like that.

I'm glad you mentioned the class.  I meant to ask you about it a couple times, but with my MIL's issues and then Ruby's fish oil fun, I kept forgetting.  I'll be eager for your new update.

Another gorgeous day here -- sun, high 70's.  Some showers due tomorrow, but frankly I'll welcome them if they'll help reduce the grass pollen that is making me so miserable.  And our garden needs some moisture!

Ugh the do more with less approach. You don't do more with less you do less with less! Call it what it is.

    Hi Paige!

3+ inches of rain today which means my yard will be a jungle by morning.

Not looking forward to tomorrow.  It's going to be a day of travel and not so much fun meetings. And I still feel like I have been hit by a bus. Can I get some get your immune system working vibes please?

    • Gold Top Dog

Julie, hope your immune system kicks in soon and you feel better.
