    Sunny Sunday chat

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful and the wedding, simple, but elegant and absolutely lovely.  People on the beach stopped what they were doing to watch the wedding.

We arrived, thanks to not very clear instructions, about 10 minutes late, and I shooed Todd out of the car and said I'd find a place to park.  As I was getting ready to back up, the bridal party assembled in the parking lot, so the timing was excellent.  Whew!!

Since it was 81 degrees (seriously??  In Maine??  In early JUNE?) I didn't feel like I could leave Theo the butt biter in the car so took him with me and he was EXCELLENT!!  Not a look even when DSS came and gave me a hug.  He was so very good!  He watched the people while I watched the wedding (DH was running around with the camera),

The wedding itself was absolutely beautiful.  I've never seen two people more in step with one another, more in love, and more committed to having a good life together.

At the reception, DH and I were "announced" entering the reception room, flowers and all.  When I asked Rob why the heck I was getting a corsage he gave me a hug and said "because you're my stepmom and I wanted you included"  I couldn't blame the tears on sand blowing in my eyes then.

I think Rob got a kick out of seeing me all teary.  I don't cry.  He knows that no one can make me cry, but, gosh, I teared up when I saw Breanna in the parking lot and I kept doing it through the service and reception.  Truly a beautiful day.

Friday on the other hand was not so beautiful.  Fridays are always jammed full and about 6PM, after worrying all day about a funny noise from the back of the car, I blew a strut.  Then the funny noise became a rat a tat tat as the top of the strut bounced around the top of the wheel well. Close to midnight DS finished replacing said strut.  We were a little tired for our trip, needless to say!  But thankfully, the darned thing decided to break BEFORE we started the trip and in time to fix it so we could go.

I slept for 11 hours last night.  'Nuff said!

Hope everyone else is getting this great weather and enjoys the day!

Truly a beautiful day.  No weddings yet, but a couple of nieces getting hitched later this summer.

Had Lugnut for a run at the Swan Lake WMA by the river.

This is the northern section, a sand quarry rehabbed to be a prairie.  The lower section is a series of ponds-each with a large momma goose.

    The pup needed to run.

I tried for a portrait, but when I bent down for a good angle, he came to me.  You may recognize the rock from a portrait of Piper

His body is almost all grown.  Now, we wait for the brain to start working.  His heeling and sits are getting better, and he likes to stay close in the yard. "Leave it" is starting to be effective, unless it's another dog or a little kid.

Doug, thanks, as always, for sharing the pics of Lugnut!

Doug those photos are wonderful and joyous!!

I have been in a funk all weekend. Debating whether to get xrays on B tomorrow by the general vet or wait until Thursday.  As of now I'll wait until Thursday and have the surgeon do them.

He's been pretty flat all weekend and of course my brain spirals into bad places however it might just be summer heat - he hates it

I am also debating getting a different car - mine is closing in on end of warranty and with all the miles I do I am spending a lot on gas so I have been sort of looking for a few months. I have decided on what car and DH immediately went into internet shopping mode and found a great price on one. Bless him, he is so ready to buy it but it takes me a while to get there.

It was nice summery weather this weekend. I prefer it cooler but summer in the south is warm :)

That's all, as I said I can't seem to move my head to a different place
