    TGIF 6/6/14 70th anniversary of D-Day

Hmm so my wild and wacky work life continues to get wackier, just as this project is wrapping up I was pulled immediately off the project. Quite a destabilizing move for the project however it is a relief for me! Something to do with the contract for the project so now I await my next assignments.

I need to start a thread regarding B's lump, more in that thread

I hope that each of you pauses today to remember D-Day, my father-in-law stormed a beach on that day and that really personalized it for me.

Hoping Ruby is doing fine and that the carpet can be de-fished

Hmm wonders about fishy carpet. There must be a story there heh

Tgif! This cold is on its 8th day. I'm wondering if I might actually need antibiotics. But since it's Fri afternoon already nothing will happen till Monday. Maybe after a full weekend of rest I will be back on my feet.

Work is insanely busy. I just can't keep up with it all and it just keeps piling on.

My lawn mower guy started up again yesterday. Thank God for that. One less thing I have to worry about. Somehow I need to find a reliable handy man though. They seem impossible to come by these days.

Julie, you can see more details of Ruby's Not-So-Excellent Fish Oil Adventure in yesterday's thread.

She seems fine.  She threw up 4 times yesterday, but no problems after eating dinner or breakfast this AM.  Interestingly, she has NOT had diarrhea, which we fully expected.  Everything looks normal.  The carpet is another story.  You can't see a stain, but the odor lingers.  I'll call the carpet cleaning guys again today and see what they suggest.  Maybe brushing baking soda into the area?

Are there walk-in clinics near you, Julie?  We have these great places called Zoom Care that are open 7 days a week, so it's perfect for what you're dealing with.  Hope you feel better soon!

Karen, that's too bad your work contract just got changed.  But at least you'll have some more time in your schedule for a bit, right?  I'll go check out your thread about Bugsy's lump -- that doesn't sound good.

I don't have any living relatives with experiences connected to D-Day, but it's very moving to see the coverage on TV, such as interviews with some of the soldiers who WERE there, talking about their memories of it.  Like Tom Brokaw calls them, they really were the greatest generation.

I hope you feel better soon, Julie.

The lingering fish odor would kill me.

Work has been kicking my butt this week.

My friend with the lung cancer that went to her brain passed away last Friday. Sad

I'm feeling lower than a snake's belly today.

    I am exhausted.

Julie, some drug stores do a health clinic.  CVS, RiteAid, Walgreens.....that might be worth a shot.

This has been the day from Hades.  And, tail end of it, my rear strut snapped, so DS is out replacing it now by lamp light..  Oye.  We have to leave by 6 in the morning to get to the wedding on time.
