    Just another manic Monday chat

Where do I file a formal complaint about weekends being too short?

Sunny and pretty this morning.  Hope that it lasts.

I have the ortho later today.  Can't wait.  The guys in that practice are cut happy.....

i'll add to your weekend too short complaint. Although I did nothing but move from the couch to the bed and back again all weekend. I finally succumbed to a nasty head cold that had been brewing for a week or so. I think it's pretty much a given that I always get sick after I travel. I must really run myself down while traveling.

So, I'm home today with the dogs being bored out of my mind. I suppose being bored is a good sign that I'm on the end of this thing.

It needs to rain so my fertilizer/weed killer gets into the soil.

I hurt over the weekend and last night I didnt sleep well so am dragging this morning.  And have to drive to the office today and then put in a full day.  By the time I see the ortho I probably won't be able to answer his darned questions.

Hope you feel better soon Julie, and hope you get some rain.

Monday seems to have snuck up on me. I'm not sick and I'm not in pain so I'm way ahead of you two. lol

Can I mention just how much I love my new Weber grill?

I caught up on chores over the weekend and also started working on sanding my garage door.

Up to my eyeballs in work. The fun never ends.

Never mind Monday sneaking up quickly on us --- what about JUNE?  I cannot believe it's June 2.  Where the heck did May go?!

Hope your head cold is heading elsewhere, Julie.  And good ortho visit vibes, Glenda.

Tina, DH loves his Weber grill, too.  In fact, he made pork chops on it last night!  Seeing your comment about sanding your garage door reminded me to ask if your crazy neighbors finally finished their roofing project.  I'm sure you won't be trying to return the favor of entertainment to them while doing your sanding project!  Wink

The news on my MIL as of this morning was that the cardiologist feels her heart rate is stable enough for her to be discharged today.  We'll see if that changes before the afternoon is over.  We're going to arrange for an aide to come in a couple times a day to help her for a while with showering and whatnot, just until we're sure she's feeling capable of getting around her apartment okay.

We had glorious weather all weekend, and today is the same.  This is the driest, warmest spring I remember having here in a long time.  I can't believe I've had to water some of my plants in the garden already.  Usually the rain is taking care of that until July!

I also love my Weber grill and will be grilling pork chops today :)  assuming the rain holds off.

The neighbors finished the roof and just (mostly) finished the siding. I suspect the wife told him his friends couldn't help, so there was minimal crack visible. Not much beer, either. Wink

I, OTOH, made sure I was wearing pants that were positioned at my waistline and my shirt was untucked, so my butt was not exposed while working on my door.

Now where's the fun in that?!  Wink  Actually, I have to wear an extra long T-shirt when I wear a certain pair of old jeans while pulling weeds.  They're just low enough that it's a bit risky when I'm stooping and crawling around the yard with my weeding tools!

Julie, don't let the rain stop you from grilling.  That adds to the fun!  At least that's what we tell ourselves since most people in this area grill year round.  My neighbor has a big patio umbrella anchored next to his grill, so he stays nice and dry while tending to his dinner!

OK, definately a tear so MRI on the horizon.....once comp approves it.  The nearest open MRI is about an hour away so we'll be going the valiem route yet again.

Hmm an umbrella over the grill. Now there's an idea!

    what weekend? ;)

Actually I did a paddle boarding lesson - it was fun and our weather this weekend was stupendous!! Always a treat to have nice coolish, non-humid weather at this time of year down here!

Also Friday was my birthday - talk about time moving fast :)

I dont' have to get up at 5 tomorrow and I am thrilled about that - even if I will likely wake up as per usual at about 4:45

Another nice weather day here - heat and humidity is here by Wednesday though

I took my little project team out today - it is such a strange dynamic for this team. For those that don't know I am training a team that will go back to India to train people with an eventual outsourcing of an entire department. The people we are working with are exceptional in all ways and yet most people are so unhappy about the project they look at these professionals with scorn. As if it is their fault. Meanwhile I get the impression they have been given no spends while here so I just decided the heck with it and took them to a Thai place and they loved it! Made me happy to see them enjoy some food and just relax a bit.

    Hmm what else?

Well I suppose I should share that once again my million dollar rescue seems to have a not good lump - trying to figure out what to do first. Praying it's just and badly placed lipoma but mast cell or osteocarcinoma could be the case.

I just try to tell myself I have done all I can and have done my best to not take any moment for granted
