    Tuesday Chat 5/27/14

I see they've still not gotten rid of all the old threads. :(

Rainy day here. We had over two inches of rain yesterday. The grass is growing so fast you can practically see it. DH should have mowed on Saturday.

Hi @JackieG. This is not for want of trying... This is a pesky bug that seems to span both of our communities. We have a team actively working on it. We will keep you informed of progress, but hopefully it will be resolved soon.

    Hooray for rain in Texas!

We had nice weather this past weekend. I got some stuff done and then vegged yesterday due to my allergies flaring up..

Today is the proverbial calm before the storm. My work will show up late this week since there was no mail yesterday. Then I'll be scrambling to finish due to the short work week.

Lugnut sure looked handsome in the photo from Saturday (of this year). Smile

LOL!!  Yes, Lugnut did look handsome in this years photo's!  What a mess all these ancient threads are!

So glad Jackie is finally getting that long needed rain.

Have started the very long and drawn out process of getting into the ortho for an MRI.  An incident report has to be completed, which has to be done by our HR gal, but she's taking care of that and also gave me all the info that that ortho's office needs to get the ball rolling.  Apparently even the first visit has to be pre-authorized, so this is looking to turn into a rather lengthy and tedious affair.  In the meantime, my light duty note runs out Thursday and I sure can't do anything MORE than light duty....even that is wearing me out in a hurry.  Much harder to do things with just one usable arm.  Sigh.......

Yes, a short work-week can be a bittersweet thing.  It's nice that next weekend will come 'round that much faster, but having to do 5 days' work in 4 days' time is annoying!

Each of the three days this weekend were due to have some rain, but we ended up with three very nice days.  Not too hot, a decent amount of sunshine.  Along with pulling weeds, I helped DH move the patio furniture around, and I woke up with a screaming back this morning.  Hopefully some Aleve will help!

Speaking of pain, sending continued good vibes for your shoulder and the messy medical process, Glenda.

I cannot believe we're in the final days of May already.  Seems like we were just preparing for the onslaught of the winter holidays.  It's scary how fast the time goes by!

This weekend was great for relaxing and forgetting about things for a while. Now it's back to reality and all the stress that goes with it. There's water all over my basement from the pipe leak. Yay for that. Not.

    and work.... Oye.

Glad you got some rain Jackie. You can see the grass growing here too. And the weeds :) I finally got the Gras mowed and went nuts with the round up trying to kill some weeds. At some point I need to get some lawn bags and clean it all up. It would be so nice to go back to renting.

Such a cute pic of Guns this weekend :)

Glenda I hope they get your stuff sorted soon enough to keep your "light duty" restriction in place.

Ugh, Julie I'm sorry to hear about your leak.

We had a great weekend.  Memorial Day weekend always means our friend's b-day party which is always a blast.  Who wouldn't have fun w/ drinks & about 1000 glow sticks?  (not even exaggerating!)

My work trip is coming up next week and I'm starting to get nervous.  Not so much about the trip but leaving everyone behind and how things will go w/o me there.  Feeling just a smidge of guilt w/ leaving DH to handle everything by himself.

Where are you headed? I also have a work trip next week (chicago) that i haven't even made arrangements for yet. Need to find a hotel and do all the appropriate paperwork and so on. Maybe I will do that tonight and check it off the list. Glad you posted about it since it is motivating me to get my butt in gear!

Going to Mexico.  First time I've ever left the country, so I'm a little excited, on the other hand its not a tourist area and we aren't going to be allowed to do much outside the hotel & plant besides eat
