    Happy Mother's Day Chat

To all the Mom's, wishing you the happiest of Mother's Days.  For all we do, we are entitled to today, so please take advantage!

I'm going to start repotting herbs shortly.  Not a chore to me, but something I enjoy and haven't had time for recently.  The guys will no doubt fuss, but this is what I want to do with part of MY day.  We have a dinner reservation in the early afternoon as well.

Today is sunny and just gorgeous.  Couldn't wish for better!

AND, I'm still logged in!  Wahooooo!

It hasn't mattered to me, but I'm still logged in, too.  Glad that problem has been fixed.  I hope that means we'll hear from folks more often.

beautiful and sunny here, too.  We're taking my MIL out for Chinese food at lunch time.  She often craves things like Mexican and Chinese food because the menus are so bland at her  retirement facility.  Other than that, I'll take a walk with a friend later, do some chores, and hopefully have time to sit on the patio and read some of the magazines that are piling up around here!

Best wishes to all the Moms, whether your kids have 2 or 4 legs!

I went to the grocery store as usual this morning.  Forgot it was Mother's Day until I got there and saw the massive crowds, displays of flower arrangements  everywhere and the multiple displays of chocolate covered strawberries.  I was told "happy Mother's Day" times by various employees.  Seems rude to correct them so I said "thanks and same to you" even if it was a male.  You never know. :)

    Lol Jackie great idea.

Busy weekend here with some pretty amazing weather. It really made me want to do some weeding and trimming but I had too many other things going on. It will have to wait.

My sisters (with kids) and my mom came out and we all went to the best BBQ place iin town for lunch. Everyone loved it so I was happy. It's rare everyone likes everything they got. They all raved about it.

Lily got a bath too.  Poor thing is going nuts with allergies. I figured an oatmeal bath might help.

Wish I would have planted grass seed as its supposed to rain every day this coming week

I enjoyed today.  But tonight, I'm missing a son and man, I really MISS him.  The day is almost over and the phone call isn't gonna come wishing me the happiest mothers day ever because I'm the best.  It's been more than two years, but it doesn't seem to get easier.  Especially on days like today.

Off to find some cheese to go with my whine.....and the darned tears that won't quit rolling down my checks......

I'm on my home desktop, and paragraphs don't work on this, so apologies in advance! Glenda, when I was writing my earlier post, I was thinking about how today would have a heavy layer of sadness for you. I thought about saying something in my post, but then I decided maybe I shouldn't bring it up in case it would upset you. But please know I was thinking of you today. Hugs to you, and to any other mothers out there who have suffered the unimaginable pain of losing a child. Julie, BBQ has to be one of those meals that really can please just about everyone. Even vegetarians can enjoy delicious things like coleslaw, cornbread, and beans. We've got a great little BBQ place in town that is always packed, but worth the wait (or sometimes we just get take out instead of waiting for a table). I'm sure it's nothing like places that are probably in your neck of the woods, Jackie, but it is good!

    Sorry Glenda :(

Tracy the menu had a vegetarian section. All it listed was soft drinks lol!  They do have gthe best Mac and cheese ever though. So I suppose that qualifies :)

I really did have a good day, and it wasn't overly sad......just the heightened awareness that someone was missing from my life.  But, it hit me in the evening and I just sat with tears rolling down my face.  Thanks for thinking of me.  I guess I just needed to share the pain a bit and maybe lessen it by doing so.
