    Just another manic Monday chat

Beautiful, sunshine filled day here today.  Pretty cool right now but supposed to go to almost 70 later.

I spent much of the weekend organizing, some packing, but in general, just getting things straightened out FOR packing.  Some things, like the really heavy sweaters and long johns got packed, but, for the most part, just super organized.  Will do a little each night this week and be in good shape.  Amazing how disorganized stuff can get in such a short time.  I'm hoping that our new landlord will call later today to tell us exactly when we can start moving stuff in....prior to the first.

Another really busy week ahead, so off the get it started.  Hope everyone has a great day!

Jackie, I'm sorry to read you are under the weather again. ~~handing you some chicken soup~~

My DS is lucky. He took me out to lunch on Friday for my b'day. The restaurant was a little busy, but it didn't seem like we waited terribly long. The manager had come by and apologized for the delay and then said, "I'll take care of it." We got the bill - the whole meal had been comp'd so DS got away with paying nothing. Then he didn't have cash for the tip, so I ended up paying that part! Huh?

Saturday was nice. I was given a new Weber grill, so my friend and I cooked steaks instead of going out to eat. I also heard from my friend with the lung/brain cancer; she was feeling okay and I went to visit her for a bit. She appears frail, but is in reasonably good spirits. I also got to meet her dog - a Standard Poodle - and he's a sweetie.

The weather Sunday was beautiful. DS came over for Easter dinner. It was a nice weekend all the way around.

Hope you feel better soon Jackie.

Tina, you having to pay the tip reminded me of what happened w/ 2 of the guys I work with.  The one was going to take the other to lunch for his birthday, they got there, ate, and then when they went to pay the 1st guy realized he forgot his wallet.  So the other guy ended up having to pay for both of them when it was supposed to have been his birthday lunch.

It's such a pretty day today, and was gorgeous yesterday for Easter, too.  I got to hide Easter eggs for the kids (that was a first) and Hannah seemed to have a good time.  She was pretty pleased w/ herself b/c she found the special egg that I'd hidden harder when her Dad and Grandpa couldn't find it.  Aaron had no interest in the egg hunt.  He'd gotten new cars in his Easter basket and that is all he cared about.

Hannah rode w/ me on the motorcycle to work for the first time.  She's ridden with her Dad a bunch, but I've just always preferred he be the one who takes her.  She is a really good passenger.  She gets on, holds on, and doesn't move.  Plus, she's so light that it makes it really easy.

Sunday was one of those days you dream about in Jan.  Warm breeze, full sun.

Kids and grand kids were down for dinner.  Walked to the park, let the kids loose on the equipment.  Tried to fly kites(for some reason, my daughter, and honor grad from college, puts them together backwards), let the pup play with the grand kids.  My grandson loves dogs, but his father doesn't, so I let Charlie drive the dog.  Lugnut loves kids, so it worked out well.

Probably wont snow for the next few days, so short sleeve shirts are in use.
