Beautiful weather here. We had some drizzly rain yesterday but the sun is out today. A lot of schools are closed here today. Tina, how was your lunch with the guys yesterday?

Tina, how was your lunch with the guys yesterday?

Good - there was no singing involved! The service was a little slow due to 2 employees walking out in the middle of lunch, so I had to eat really quickly so I wouldn't be late getting back to work. The guys gave me a card with some instant lottery tickets and I won $8.00!

Leaving shortly for the day to have lunch with DS and then who knows.

I hope everyone has a nice weekend and enjoys Easter!

Tina I'm glad you had a nice lunch!

Still pretty chilly here today - we have the heat on!

I took Bugsy down to the lake with his GSP buddy and owner. The GSP pup is a wonderful boy and so incredibly funny at times. It was a long walk and loads of craziness so by the time everyone got home we were all tired LOL

It's been really interesting to see what a well-bred pup is like versus B. Even my DH is seeing it.

I have loads of work to do this weekend - I've started a bit but I really just need to tuck in and study. BUT I DON'T WANT TO!

Tomorrow is our dog walk - going to be raining apparently. That was a quick change in the forecast from yesterday when it appeared the weather was going to be great

That's all - enjoy the holiday all!

Wow, I cant believe it's already Friday .... Tina, Happy Birthday tomorrow!

Jackie, so sorry your friend is going thru this, ((Hugs and Vibes)).

Tracy sounds like you are having a great time, I am not sure I would have survived the last leg of your flight, lol.

Doug, sounds like lugnut is doing a great job :)  Keep up the good work!

Karen it is so good to see you, glad you and Bugsy are getting some time in with his GSP Buddy.  LOL, hope he didn't hear you mention the "well bred" part.

Glenda, I am sending "decision vibes" your way, so glad you are having luck with the hunt.

Ron and the boys are doing well, we are going to have some pretty weather tomorrow, hoping to get in some gardening.

We have 11 days til we move all this office stuff to the main office.  It's only 7 miles but we have not had any time to pack.  Hope this old dog (me) can learn the new tricks, lol!

Everyone have a great Easter Holiday,

Company coming for Easter, so housecleaning.  23 chew toys in the living room, not counting the doggie bed that is getting softer each day.

I am ready to retire, but need to train a replacement.  He is eager to learn and help-, so every task takes twice as long.  There is always brandy!!!.

As my wife is a choir director, I guess I will be in church Sunday.  Have you noticed how people who are enthralled with the idea of heaven-singing, praying, harps all the time- seem to have trouble getting to church for an hour a week?..

Mark Twain wrote "Letters from Earth" which show a different view of heaven.  I got hooked on some of Twains writings in college.  I was reading "The innocents Abroad" and one of the girls in the car pool misread the title.  She was very red faced, after chewing me out for reading porn.

“More men go to church than want to.”
― Mark TwainLetters from the Earth: Uncensored Writings

“Now then, in the earth these people cannot stand much church -- an hour and a quarter is the limit, and they draw the line at once a week. That is to say, Sunday. One day in seven; and even then they do not look forward to it with longing. And so -- consider what their heaven provides for them: "church" that lasts forever, and a Sabbath that has no end! They quickly weary of this brief hebdomadal Sabbath here, yet they long for that eternal one; they dream of it, they talk about it, they think they think they are going to enjoy it -- with all their simple hearts they think they think they are going to be happy in it!”

Our power to the whole island was out from 3 pm to 3 am yesterday/today. I'm still not sure why, but it's back on now. I was bringing Dad back to the island from a doctor's appt. on the mainland yesterday afternoon, and we had to wait about 45 minutes on the ferry while the ferry guys got the "no power" back-up system up and going. (The thing that lowers/raises the ramp to the ferry runs on electricity.) It was an adventure! Today was cold (as was yesterday), but tomorrow is supposed to be gorgeous--Jackie and GingerP, I think your weather must be heading here. Yeah! Double yeah for sunshine and warmer weather! We'll have daffodils in bloom for Easter, and maybe, just maybe some of the forsythia will be out, too.

I got the crate set up for Ronnie's arrival. (It's still 3 weeks away, so I guess I'm ahead of schedule.)  He is crate trained and loves his crate. I've reviewed with Mozey all she'll need to teach him. I'm sure she has her own ideas about that, too!

I got caught up on grading for one class today, but I need to finish two observation reports for student teachers.

Glenda, I'm glad you figured out which house you want. And you have your 'puter back, too. That's a good day.

Doug, I like your Twain quote.  Have fun with the whole gang for Easter dinner!

Tina, happy birthday--glad there was no singing!!

Karen, I'm glad Bugsy's belly is better. I know he had fun with the GSP pup!

Tracy, I hope you're having a great time in CT!
