TGIF 3-28-14. Did I say TGIF?!?

Rainy day here, but it's okay. I'm feeling better today.

No real plans for the weekend. I'm just glad it's the end of the work week.

I'm glad you're feeling better Tina.  Hope you can take it easy this weekend.

It's nice here this morning and is supposed to be a nice weekend with warm temps.

Not much else going on other than I got my tomatoes and peppers planted.

Hi everyone!!  At least it's not snowing Tina!  I swear, if it snows one more time I am going to freak out!

TGIF!!  Dropped Riley off at her dad's this morning.  She will be there for the next week (we exchange on Friday mornings before school).

I am looking forward to the weekend.  Going out to dinner with a bunch of friends tomorrow night and need to start the "oh crap the parents are coming home from a 4 month vacation and I haven't kept up with the house" cleaning process.  LOL

    Hello all!

Tina glad you are doing better, hopefully you can take advantage of the weekend and just chill.

Jackie I wish I had time to do a garden, I live very close to a farmers market and the fruit and veggies are so good I just go there.

MissL sounds like you have a fun weekend planned have a good time. Get that house work done so the parents don't ground you LOL

They are calling for some warmer temps here in PA so I'm hoping to get out and do some hiking this weekend with Grux.

Boy, am I glad it's Friday.  It's been a tiring week.  This is the exciting start for my weekend:  I can't wait to get in my "lounge wear" tonight, watch some episodes of the Daily Show and the Tonight Show on the DVR, have some mint chip ice cream, and go to bed knowing I can sleep until 8 or 9am.  Heaven!

I've got a bunch of errands to run tomorrow, and Sunday my friend and I are going to a mall up near Portland.  I loathe shopping, but I need to get a couple things for my trip to CT next month.  If I have to do a long shopping day, then I need a friend along so we can visit on the long drive up and back, as well as keep each other going as we trudge around the dreaded mall.

Lisa, good to hear from you!  I hope all is well with you, Riley and Charlie.  Pop in more often!

Rain pelting the windows this morning . . . this happens every year.  We get the gorgeous blossoms on the flowering cherry and plum trees, then the wind and rain return and wreck them.  Oh well, they were beautiful when they peaked!

We had storms last night so everyone east of us be on alert.   We definitely had to get out the scaredy dog pills, I am going to have to get a refill since it is the season.  We are supposed to have warm 60/70's over the weekend, I am hoping to get outside for some fresh air and garden clean up.  Our problem lately has been the high winds, no point in clearing old plant matter if its gonna blow right back when you turn your back.  Need to do some burning of downed limbs so this bit of rain last night and tonight should allow for not setting the whole valley on fire :)

Jackie it is no where near time to plant tomatoes and peppers here, maybe lettuce and cilantro, cool weather crops.  So looks like BLT's at your house 1st :)

Lisa, lol about the parents coming back.   My daughter used to call it the "fasties"  I would call to say I was headed home from work and they would do the "fasties" which was packing all their chores into 20 minutes instead of taking their time ha!  Now the have Ron calling it the "fasties"  cept he really doesn't do anything, lol.

How are you girls adapting to your new arrangement, well I hope.

Tina glad you are feeling better hope GingerD is also.

Karen just wanted to tell you how much I enjoyed Bugsy's video a few day back :)  It definitely made me smile.

Michellle have fun with your hike, hope you get a good weekend for it.

Well looks like we are moving to our main office soon.  I was expecting it but.. whew.., coming a bit sooner and I need to find some motivation and energy to get going.   It's only 8 miles, and will save me 2 mile each day but it's the packing and unpacking and organizing a new office area...wasn't I the one complain a few days ago about organizing my house too ?

This is the exciting start for my weekend:  I can't wait to get in my "lounge wear" tonight,

have some mint chip ice cream, Tracy are we sister's?  Sounds like we should be!

Have a great time with your friend....I hate to shop.

The fasties -- love it!  I'll have to remember that.

Good luck with the office move.  I've had to move offices a few times over the years -- from one building to another, as well as one room to another.  It's definitely a huge hassle, but at least the element of "emotional attachment" isn't there.  Other than the fear of needing some files for a tax audit or something, I have a much easier time purging and organizing my office crap than my house crap!  Wink

We moved from a huge building in 2002 and majorly downsized, then moved again in 2007 downsized again but moving closer to my home and main office, now we move again.   The big problem is the 12 years in between has not been kind ha

at least we are above 30! That is a major improvement. I'm jealous of those of you already planting stuff though!

I was reminded today why I don't wear heals often. I put on my high healed boots wot wear with my jeans today at work and was fine for about 40 mins. then the back pain started.  I had to wear my construction boots all day lol. Oh well, at least those go with jeans too ;p

It looks like the text i'm typing is italics. I wonder why that is and if it will come out italics when I hit post reply. So many things on this forum just don't make sense.

Lisa, enjoy a kid free week!

I'm seriously considering taking Monday off work to enjoy the 60 degrees and sunshine they are predicting! Maybe all the snow in my yard will finally melt!

Glad to hear Tina is feeling better.

We were right around 50 today.  However, since it poured ALLLLLL freaking day, might as well have been cold.  I so love having to drop papers in the rain all day.  Have been soaked since 9:30 this morning.

Lovely news....now that heating season is over the current landlord has decided to put the house on the market so we have to be out by the end of April.  Crap.  Found out today.  Gee, thanks for the notice.

DH is not getting the promised raise.  My boss is a dork.  TGIF!!!!!  That's the one really good thing I can say today!
