    Sunny Sunday 2/23

Yes, you read that thread title correctly.  The sun is making a partial appearance this morning. Yesterday it was 100% sunny, which was awesome.  We took Ruby on a long walk, and I did some work in the yard.  My neighbor (the excellent cook -- he's also an amazing gardener) was outside, too.  He came over and told us he was there on behalf of our rose bushes, one of which needed to be moved, the others pruned.  We never turn down his advice, so he put the rose in a better spot and then helped with the pruning.  They were in the area where are water pipe problems were, so they've had a rough winter!

Jackie, did you see A Winter's Tale?  I thought it sounded pretty good, but then I saw the not-so-enthusiastic reviews.  But watching Colin Farrell for 90 minutes or so can't be that bad.  I really like him

Since I was outside part of the day yesterday, I need to do my inside chores this morning before I have to get ready for a reception for shelter supporters later today.  I know there will be tasty desserts there.  Not what I need, but definitely what I want!

I tried to reply, but I lost my whole post :-(

It's been sunny here yesterday and today, too. It feels so nice. I just got back from a walk with Mozey--she had a lot of sniffing to do to see what was left after most of the snow melted! It was so nice today--but more  really cold temps and snow are on the way.

I went to a farmers' market yesterday and scored some kale and some freshly made ginger scones. I made a soup-like thing with the kale, Andouille sausage and pasta. Yum. The scones are history and they were delicious.

Tracy, the shelter reception sounds fun and yummy! I planted a Knockout rose last year (someone here posted about it--Jackie maybe?), and it did well. It's too early to prune yet, but I wish your neighbor lived here so I could get good tips.

Well, I just lost my whole post too. grrrr. Tracy and Kate, I'm so glad you both had some sunshine. We've been warm and mostly sunny all weekend. A Winter's Tale, I give it 1/2 star. The horse was pretty. Belle is limping. She is determined to jump high enough to get the opossum that crossed the high wire line in our back yard.

It's sunny where I am!! 70s and sun as a matter of fact. Flipping awesome. My mood is 100% improved. We spent the day hiking around red rock Canyon. Tomorrow we are heading to death Valley. Drinks here are ridiculously expensive. I paid over $10 for a well drink last night. My jaw almost hit the floor.
