@calliecritturs
this particular learning curve is a doozy. Just trying to *answer* the phone is almost technologically overwhelming
Callie, you sound like my friend who recently got an iPhone after using a Blackberry for years. The outgoing message for her voice mail says something like, "I can't take your call right now. Leave a brief message, and I'll return your call if I can figure out how to retrieve messages off this crazy iPhone." I laugh every time I call her.
Julie, I can sympathize with feeling sleep deprived. Every night this week, I've awakened between 2am and 3am and haven't been able to fall back to sleep until about 30 minutes before the alarm goes off. It's awful to have to try to focus on work when you're feeling so tired. Hopefully you'll get a burst of energy when you see their eager faces in the audience!
Another rainy, blustery morning here. I was thinking as I drove in that there sure are a lot of dedicated dog-walkers in this area. I saw 3 dogs being walked in the rain, with the owners covered in various types of wet-weather outerwear. Actually, even without dogs, the rain doesn't stop most people from doing whatever they normally do outside -- jogging, bicycling, walking, etc. I can't tell you how many times I've seen someone pushing a stroller in the rain. I wonder if the child is thinking, "This sucks, Mom. Aim this thing towards home, pronto!"
