Still not keeping me signed in.

Same here.  Very random.

I think it's random, too -- since I tend to forget I signed in, and I leave it running in the background while I'm at work during the day.  Sometimes I go back to it and I'm signed in, other times, I'm not.  I don't mind re-signing in, but I'm sure it's a nuisance for those of you doing things on the fly with phones and such

Something I've often wondered:  If it kept everyone logged in all the time, would your name/avatar appear in the border there constantly as an active user?  Or is that driven by something else?

I experience the same issue.

Tracy, do you mean the side bar that says most active users?  I think that's based on number of posts, if that's the one you mean.  It has Gina at the top?

Yep, me too.

Tracy, I never logged out before and every time went to the forum, I showed up as "there" so I'm guessing it does show you as an active user whether you are "there" or not.

I rarely try to post from my phone for two reasons....the hassle of having to sign in and also those itty bitty keys!!

Jackie, I know the section you're describing (with Gina on the top, and other "old-timers" there who we've not seen in ages).  I'm talking about the top, right-hand section of the screen (below the blue "menu bar" with buttons to click on).  After I publish a post, and I'm still in the "body" of the thread itself, I can see my name/avatar, sometimes with others (like now with Glenda and you), other times it's me alone.  

Edited to say, now that area includes Cathy and Ginger!

Nope, I don't stay signed in either. Frustrating, and while it doesn't take that long to log in, I can say that most of the time I just don't bother.  

Oh, I know the side bar you mean Tracy.  I think it only shows the name of whoever happens to be logged in.  Right not it's just me and Maureen.

I've always had to sign in -- old software, this software - no difference.  I've always assumed it was my virus guard software

We believe that the next software upgrade will fix this. We will be working on some small interface improvements soon and we believe this could be one. Appreciate how frustrating it is, but it may be your browser. I've noticed that since upgrading my Mac, my settings from various websites aren't always retained. So it MAY not be us. Best, Jonathan

@ Tracy. Area that shows who is signed in, I always wondered about that as well. Though I don't know how it does it, I think it only shows those who are actually browsing the site. I may be wrong though. I always used to sign out of sites, whenever I wasn't going to be on the particular website. Didn't really like staying signed into places. But now with my kindle and phone, its more of a pain signing into sites every time and so i'm more apt to stay logged in. Jonathan, this is the only website I have that problem with. Thanks for responding though.
