Heat wave Wednesday, it's 1 degree! 1-8-14

wohoo. It only feels like -5 below. We're getting there.

I'm trying not to keep myself from getting frustrated with the whole burglary aftermath. Like, it shouldn't be taking this long to get my door replaced or have the detective call me so I can get the report amended and send it to the insurance company. I have to remind myself that we are just getting through the holidays and a major winter storm that shut the state down so there are bound to be delays. Right? Ohmmm.

Julie, the whole thing sucks.  First you get screwed by your burglar and then by the system.

Feels like -9 here, but you guys got blasted so I won't begrudge you a few degrees.  We lost the bulk of our snow on Monday with heavy rain.

1 degree, Tina?  You better get out your beach umbrella and sandals!  

I shouldn't complain about our rainy, gloomy weather here -- at least it's 50 degrees or so. But it's so dark -- I leave the lights on in the house for Ruby when I go to work.

I meant to post this the other day.  Our friends sent us this pic of their dogs waiting in the car for them.  They look like they're about to take off on a drive by themselves!

Hi gang, PA is still cold but thankfully not as brutal as yesterday. 20 degrees would feel good now. Stay warm everyone!

Julie - that so sucks.  Tina, you're right -- what they've gone thru makes it all pale in comparison.

From yesterday - yes, they all stood me up at the deli and I was not happy. I'd hung out at work to kill time when I could've gone home and then sat at the deli for about 30 min's waiting. I tend to downplay stuff like that but not this time. I let them know I didn't appreciate it and everyone apologized profusely.

I mentioned to someone yesterday that we hadn't had many foggy days this year and woke to guess what? Yep - fog! I doubt it was any colder today than yesterday but sure felt like it when I took Shane for a walk.

Did I mention we bought office furniture? We ordered it from Wayfair and it should be here next week. Based on the reviews and pictures, I'm super excited. It may take us weeks to put it together but at least  it might actually look like an office vs. a storage room sometime soon. I have used it's messiness as an excuse not to file though, so I'll have to think of something else :)

Rex seemed fine this morning.  Actually later last night he stopped all the lip licking.  I hope he just had an upset tummy.  

Drizzly here today but that's ok.

Busy so better get back to work.
