    TGIF 12-20-13

Freezing rain and snow here. Everything is crunchy.

Tracy, from yesterday, part of my Xmas bonus is for gifts, part will go towards my dental implant.

I have to make that payment in February. I hope everyone stays safe out there.

Edited to correct paragraphing, I hope!

Thankfully we are getting some warm weather, suppose to be 60 on Sunday! Normally much, much colder. I got most of my shopping done finishing up Saturday! Stay safe everyone and have a Merry Christmas!

We're supposed to reach 75 today.  It's cloudy and may rain but we can use the rain.  I really feel for those dealing with cold, snow, ice, etc.

Nothing exciting going on here.  I was very productive this morning at work.  I got all my billing out and now I can concentrate on the not so urgent stuff.

Tina, I forgot about your dental implant!  My friend just started the process for one this week. She's quite upset that she's on a soft food diet for a few days, right when all the Christmas goodies are being offered everywhere she goes.  She's also annoyed at the expense of it all this time of year, as I'm sure you can understand.  I'd say that's a great way to use some bonus money!

They were warning us on the news all last evening that this morning could be a nightmare with ice, sleet, freezing rain, etc.  Of course, all we've had so far is some rain.  It's nearing 40 and not expected to get colder, so I think we're safe.  I'm glad because I'm supposed to go to a former coworker's house for her annual Christmas gathering tonight, and I thought the weather might interfere.

I've got several bank reconciliations to wrap up today.  One is a bear, so I always drag my feet on that account.  It's related to the new system we got this summer, and I'm still struggling with some of its nuances.  Procrastination seems to be my default for some of these new tasks.

Hmm, not sure why my first post is one huge paragraph. I swear I hit enter between thoughts. Maybe it's because I used Quick Post. I couldn't figure out any other way to start a thread.

I took my DS to work this morning so he wouldn't have to walk in the freezing rain. Yesterday, though, he did walk. One area he walks is wooded and apparently he startled a doe and she nearly ran him down (it was 5:30a). I can see the headline now: "Pedestrian mowed down by deer; video at 11:00p". LOL
