Sloppy Tuesday talk

    Sloppy Tuesday talk

Yuck.  Our light powdery snow is wet and heavy and really sloppy.  Not all that much has come down yet, but with nothing being done to the roads it's a major mess out there.  Trying to wrap up early and get home to work from there.

    I repeat, YUCK.

Jackie, I envy your weather TODAY, but come summer, you can have it!Wink

It almost feels warm here today. I've been sick and most of it is over but the coughing. That in itself is pretty annoying at the most inconvenient times, like when I'm trying to sleep.

Tina, I hope your cough clears up soon.  My friend has been dealing with a cough that has lingered for about 3 weeks now.  We were at a private yoga session over the weekend that another friend organized for a group of us, and I felt so bad when I heard her trying to stifle coughs when the rest of the room was so quiet!

I mailed my last box of gifts this morning.  Long line at the post office.  I know I could make my life much easier (and probably less expensive) if I just ordered gifts online and had them shipped right to my family, but it seems kind of unfestive to tell them they'll have a brown cardboard box to put under their tree and they can use some box-cutters or scissors to "unwrap" it on Christmas!  One of these years I'll probably start doing that.  For now, I just do that when I order my Mom's favorite See's candy boxes.

Be careful driving in the sloppy snow, Glenda!

The weather has been nice here.

I mailed out a few Christmas cards.  That's the extent of my holiday activities.

    Tina, feel better.

Tracy, the yoga story reminds me of a card I sent to a friend who is working her ass off.  The front has a picture of a woman in a yoga pose.  I don't do yoga but it's a bent over at the waist position.  The inside said something like "relax and try not to fart"  or something like that.  :)  I'd rather cough than fart in yoga class.  If I ever did yoga, of course.

Jackie, I need to find that card!  I want to send it to a friend who would think it's hilarious.  She once told me a story of hearing someone fart in a yoga class!  I think the pose you described is called "downward dog," believe it or not (feet and hands on floor, butt towards the ceiling, almost a triangle shape).  That would make the card even funnier!

I'm with you -- coughing would be far less embarrassing!  Big Smile
