    Monday 12/16/13

No one has started a Monday thread yet?? It's 4:09 PM??? This is the first chance I've had to check -- even Orlando was chilly this morning. Hope all are well!

Kind of hard to get excited today.  It's 4PM and the sun just came out.  I had to work today.  I don't care what people say, hard work and fresh air will kill you.  Especially if the air is about 8ºF

Um, wow!  5:12 and I'm the SECOND post?  Everyone must be buried in snow, freezing cold or having a Monday.

I liked MY Monday.  Sold 2 quarter page ads, one 1/2 page ad and one FULL page ad, all with full color.

The snow plow filled in the foot of my driveway, AGAIN.  We shoveled the parking lane ourselves since it had been missed, so where he found the snow is anyone's guess.  Holy cow!  Another storm on it's way in tonight.  But, I live in New England, so should expect snow.  However, snow AND below zero temps at the same time?  Doesn't seem quite fair.

OK, off to clean out the foot of the driveway....again.

Glenda, I remember cursing plows on a regular basis because they'd dump a bunch of snow at the end of the driveway about 2 minutes after we went inside after shoveling.  So annoying!!!

My Mom said she got through storm #1 and was at work today, but was expecting to have to go home early tomorrow when storm #2 arrives.  The nice thing about her job is that it's part-time and flexible, and as someone in her 70's, she has bosses who are more than happy to have her stay home or leave early to avoid driving in bad weather.

Doug, didn't you say something about retiring soon?  I suggest pushing that date up a bit and avoiding one more cold winter working in the elements.  I'm sure you've got a high tolerance compared to us fair-weathered folk, but geesh, my fingers and toes feel numb just thinking about your workday!

Got all my gifts wrapped and boxes shipped -- except one box going across country.  I pulled into the post office this AM and the line of people was out into the lobby, so I decided to skip it.  It'll be late anyway, unless I spend a fortune on priority shipping, so mailing it tomorrow is fine.  I'll just tell my friend that they'll be able to enjoy opening gifts beyond just Christmas day!

Now I've got to get my Christmas cards in the mail.  Good excuse to sit in front of the TV tonight and write envelopes.  Sigh . . . I wonder what it feels like to be organized and prepared well in advance of the holidays???

What really got me was after I shoveled the blasted sidewalk, which was mostly filled with plow mess, and only because the city says that I have to shovel it, he came back and somehow managed to refill it!

I will no doubt work a short day tomorrow too.  I ran up and did North County today, which is usually a Tuesday thing, but with the storm coming in, didn't want to take a chance of missing my people this week.  So, I won't be working terribly far from home tomorrow, and, if it gets dicey, I can hang out with clients for a good stretch!

I still can't open the forum section at all from work.  *shrugs*   If Jonathan is reading, all I see when I try to open the forum community is IIS7.  That's been happening for over a week.  I can get to it fine from my favorites at home.

Nice weather here.  I like living in Texas. :)

Hi . I'm following all your posts. Sorry you're having problems. You shouldn't be able to see what's happening behind the scenes. That's a bug. I'll ask the developers why this might be happening and come back to you. In the meantime, can you share some screenshots on a PM and also send me some details. We'll get it sorted. Jonathan

Hi again @JackieG. Can you try just typing community.dog.com into the address bar of your browser and see where that takes you. If it still takes you to the IIS 7 splash screen can you let me know. Our IT team is curious to know what's causing this and we're concerned to fix it. Jonathan

I think I've tried that Jonathan but I 'll try again tomorrow from work PC.  Sent you a screen shot of what I'm seeing.  I can get to dog.com from work PC.  But I can't get to the community.  I get that same weird error code when I click on join our community at the bottom of the dog. com home page.  All is fine from my home computer.  I'll try the community.dog.com in the address bar tomorrow and let you know.   Thanks.

Hi again @JackieG. We're working on some theories. Will get back to you *soon*. Jonathan
