I'm not feeling as energized as I should be after 4 days off. As is usually the case on Sunday nights, I didn't sleep well last night since I got "too much" (i.e., a normal, healthy amount) of sleep on Saturday night!
I'm sorry you didn't get to the skiing, Julie. At first, I wondered what "attitude sickness" was. It sounds like something I definitely have. Then I realized you probably meant "altitude."
I've got a very busy week at work (the first week of the month is always my worst week), but because it's the end of the year, this week will be followed by several very busy weeks, clear into early February. I don't need another reminder of how fast the months go by, but I swear I was just dealing with these year-end deadlines a couple months ago!
Today is the first "regular" day that Ruby will be out of her crate while we're at work. Due to her sudden breaking out episodes a couple weeks ago, we decided to try some short periods of giving her freedom in the house (with a couple rooms closed off). DH was off all last week, so she had several shorter stints of being alone and uncrated when he was running errands and whatnot. Today was the first normal workday with our usual routine, so we'll see how it goes. We've never had to dog-proof the house since we've always crated, but now we're making sure there are no tempting things on the counters, on the floor, etc. DH goes home for lunch, so we'll see what he finds!
