10-30-13 Wednesday wonderings

I didn't want to get up either. Lily kept waking me up for some reason last night. It was annoying. I think I let her chew on her bone too late. She always drinks a lot of water after chewing which then leads to her having to pee in the middle of the night.

I need to call and reschedule my hair appt. My roots are showing! I wish I could just do away with highlights all together, but my hair is so fine that it needs the depth highlights give it. Plus, it covers up the various grey hairs that are showing up these days. booo!

*smile* I need to introduce you to Wally LOL -- mine are more than "various grey hairs" now -- now I get a "grey stripe" if I don't go back LOL

Here ya' go:

 Alien Brain Hemorrhage Cocktail  

Ingredients:

• 1/2 shot Peach Schnapps
• 1 oz. Bailey’s Irish Cream
• 2 dashes Blue Curacao
• 1 dash grenadine

Directions: Pour half a shot glass full of peach schnapps, followed with Bailey’s Irish Cream on top. Once the shot is almost full, add small amount of blue curacao. Upon settling, add a dash of grenadine to top off.

I was told early this morning that I have to take someone's place in a training seminiar in the City tomorrow and Friday.  The name of the seminar is "Leading with Focus and Intention".  My only intention for the next two days will be leading my not inconsiderable butt out of class so I can focus on a Vodka cocktail at the nearest bar.

I got my vehicle back yesterday.  Gabby and I are happy.  They seem to have fixed the problems and I got the front brakes done as they have needed replacing for a while and I kept putting it off knowing I had to take it in for this other problem.

Warm and humid here.  I would love a little cold front to lower our humidity.  Nothing really cold, just a little cooler and drier would be nice. lol

I can't see the picture of the drink, only a blank box with an X in the corner.

Hopefully that will be the end of car repairs for a while, Jackie.

In case anyone hasn't noticed, there are a lot of idiots out in the world.

Tina, I noticed that too.  The idiots that is.  Look on the bright side.  Without idiots how could we measure our own near perfection status?  lol

I dreamt of cats and kittens last night.  No, that doesn't mean I want a cat or kitten.  It means there has been some cats howling, shrieking and making their insane mating noises at night, for the last few nights, behind our house.  It makes it fun to get the dogs back in the house. :(

All that lacks Deb, is a sign (a la "Young Frankenstein";) saying "AB-normal"

Car Fu -- Jackie I don't think there is anything in the world that causes my gut to  do a slow roll like "car troubles".  Ugh.  But hey -- if Gabby's happy too??  That's kinda like La Pug being happy.  It makes the world almost do-able!

And yeah -- humidity.  It's cooled off here but it's still mega humid.  So you still arrive everywhere kinda "wet"

Tina, you had to ask for the picture of the drink.  Yuck!!!!!  That looks like something a dog threw up or yeah, a brain.  Deb, I dare you to drink one of these tomorrow. Take it back to the seminar and you'll clear the room. lol

The car troubles weren't causing any major problems.  The actuator gears that open and close the dampers for the a/c system were making a loud thumping noise.  I figured it was only a matter of time before I would be stuck either with no a/c (EKE!) or no heat.  The brakes were ok, just time for pads to be replaced.  I put it off because I hate being without my wheels even though I had a truck from work to drive.  Gabby did not like the work truck's ride. lol

I dreamt of cats and kittens last night

Probably because yesterday was National Cat Day. The other day I learned that male cats, whether they are house cats or lions, have barbed penises. It's no wonder the females shriek.

Now I can see the drink. It does look like a brain. Not that there are many in the area that I could use as reference.

Ewwww, that drink doesn't look very appetizing, I must say.  I think I'll go sans alien today.  :-)

I guess the idiots cover all parts of the country . . . I run into them fairly often here, too.

I didn't dream about cats last night, but I had some very weird dreams.  In one of them, I was in a Middle Eastern country -- I have no idea which one or why -- but I was in some building and a big group of people came in.  I was so excited to see 2 of my good friends in the crowd.  For some reason they were both dressed in very tailored business suits with fancy ties, etc.  Even weirder was that one of them is a woman, and she was in the same suit that the man was wearing!

So one of my bosses has a couple business associates who are using our conference room today due to some issue with their own office space.  I'm the only one here besides the two of them.  Our office is small, so I'm just a few yards from the conference room.  One of them is on the phone with a medical office, talking about a "sample" his wife just dropped off due to his recent vasectomy.  I've been tempted to call out, "You do know I'm sitting over here, don't you?"  But I'm staying quiet.

LOL Tracy!! Too bad you couldn't tell him the office called back and said the sample still shows sperm and he should avoid sex for several more weeks ;)

That drink sounds yummy but looks nasty. I would need a few though if I had to attend a meeting on focus. My focus left the building a long time ago.

When I went to Maui, I asked the girl covering for me to take the minutes at the board meeting and also to record it. She didn't take one single note and the meeting went for over 2 hours. I always record it in case an issue comes up but I'm able to use my notes to do the minutes. I dread the idea of listening to 2+ hours of chatter but I don't think I can put it off any longer :(

The last 2 days were pretty gloomy but the sun is shining bright today and that has me feeling a little more energized.

I knew that about cat penises but it's something I like to try and forget. lol  .  

National Cat Day - no wonder Luna was upset last night.  We were in the cat room at Dr. DiNatale's last night -- I hate it when I have to sit in there -- I am **so** allergic I literally had to change my clothes when we got home I was in misery.  It doesn't have to be hair - just dander in the air conditioning.  ugh

2:30 - finally I'm getting lunch - I am starved
