I can't believe I missed National Chocolate Day!  Crying

Dentist appointment went well. It was just an x-ray to check the screw for my implant. The good news is that it looks like everything is doing what it's supposed to do. Woo hoo!

The pile of work isn't too huge, but I suppose I should get to it.

Morning!  Tina -- National Chocolate Day is one of those wonderful holidays we can celebrate ALL year long!!  It keeps the world happier!

David and I are officially "getting old" I think LOL -- because my back has been so iffy, he'd planned to take the morning off to help get the dogs in to the vet (3 dogs who had been crossing their legs since 6:00 a.m. so they could "donate" at the vet for both urinalyses and fecals tend to be a handful when I *can* walk right.).  Appt was at 11, and with all the blood and other stuff it's typically 2-3 hours to accomplish it all -- and yep, it was 1:45 when we left there ...David decided at 3 not to go in to work at all!!" (I still needed to do all the licenses.)

Fed Ex to send blood to Hemopet, then home by 3 -- David decided on a nap and he crashed.  I did the licenses, etc. ... and at 4 *I* crashed.  Neither of us wok up til 7.    LOL -- yep, we're officially "old" I think.

Yep -- a day off and me, nap?? Yep -- I'm old.  Laughing at myself but ... old.  But no buddy is gonna let me nap here at the office!!"

Tina, I'm glad the dental implant is doing ok.  I ate some chocolate yesterday, for you, because I knew you'd want me to. :)

I had to call a long time customer and give them some information that I knew they'd be unhappy to hear.  This guy is crotchety on a good day.  I let him chew me out and tell me how crummy the whole situation is and how crummy the manufacturer is and how crummy we are.  When he got it all out of his system, I apologized for being the bearer of bad news.  I was so glad to get off the phone with my temper intact.

My Expedition is at the dealer.  I'm so glad I took out the extended warranty.  It should be ready this afternoon.  I drove home one of the company work trucks yesterday.  They don't call them work trucks for no reason.  :)  Still grateful I had this to drive while mine was in the shop.

Speaking of which, another big SHOUT-OUT to all you guys who get me going for those 10 surreal days.  An event that I will, hopefully, never experience again !!!!

When I see the footage of the immediate aftermath and what still hasn't been cleaned up, I want to cry and scream for everyone affected. I am not a patient person under the best of circumstances, so I'd have lost my mind by now :(

Came into a ton of work and found that my counterpart hadn't done anything on Friday or Monday. She'd emailed me on Friday that the printer was out of toner. I asked her to double-check one last place and if she couldn't find it to let me know the model #. Since I didn't hear anything further, I assumed she'd found a cartridge. Wrong! We have a corporate Office Depot account and I could've placed the order on Friday and it would've been here today. I was not happy!

Gloomy weather makes me want to curl up and take a nap. It's not even super cold yet and I have all my winter garb on, including a scarf and gloves when I walked Shane. I'm such a wimp!! I did sit in the hot tub last night and with the hot bubbles and a nice glass of wine, I was able to enjoy the change in weather. Shane did not like me being in a big, bubbling tub though and wouldn't get within 3 feet of me :)

For some reason this cracks me up. Big Smile  All sorts of hilarious captions to Shane's shocked and horrified expression are running through my brain.  lol

Deb, we've always got your back because we know you do the same for us.

Now that's a quote we need to drink to....  um Deb do we have a cocktail for the day???

I forgot that I need to burn some time here at work.   What does it mean when the same 2 women get to the end of the year, every year,  with vacation left to burn???? Yes you are correct we tend to hold down the fort, lol.    I have 70 hours left but can roll over 40 hours sooooo I guess I will be taking the next few days off.  I dont have anything pressing to do so I may just be lazy and hang out in my jammies for a few days and watch hallmark channel and eat chocolate :)  The leaves are changing and the colors are beautiful the weather is rainy today and tomorrow but promises to clear.  I really want to have a yard sale but...dont know that I will get around to it.  If you dont hear from me. I will see you next week.

Did the Web developers abandon this place? I sure wish the stay logged in button actually worked.

Cathy I am jealous of your hot tub. Maybe I should get mine up and running this year.  sure could use it right now!

Today was a long day and my muscles are achy from the miles and miles of hiking I did this weekend plus the time spent at the gym this morning.

Work was a bit insane today. Nothing I had planned for today actually went as planned. I'm supposed to be piloting a site inspection via Skype tomorrow but had no time to figure out how to make Skype work on my phone. GGuess I do that first thing n the morning.

I could go to bed right now and be asleep in 5 mins.

LOL Jackie - I can think of some funny captions too :)

We had a spa at the other house but it was inground and took a few hours, and a lot of $$, to heat it, so we rarely used it. This one is right off the master bathroom and ready to go at all times. I think I'll be using it quite a bit. I need to find the brand/model # though and figure out some of the nobs. I was hitting things randomly last night and at one point water was shooting out of the neck jets to about a foot away. That's probably what freaked Shane out.

Gin - enjoy your forced vacation. I used to have the same thing happen and it was always a nice treat.

Deb is one amazing person.  I would marry her but that would probably freak out our husbands and her kid; plus she'd probably be less amazing in her pj's and cold cream.  :)
