    Sunday start

Did you know that it is still dark at 6AM Sunday.  It was also dark at 5AM, when the morning barking started.  Piper gets lonely, I think.

Yes, I knew that. :)  I'm glad my dogs don't bark to wake me.  They do shuffle around banging their food bowls if I sleep past their normal breakfast time. :)

Cloudy, mild weather this morning.  Went out early with the dogs.  Did the grocery shopping.

We saw the movie Gravity last night.  Stunning visuals.  It must not be very popular since there were only six people in the theatre.  We saw it in 3D.  Probably everyone was seeing Bad Grandpa.  :(  No accounting for taste or the lack of. lol

No accounting for taste or the lack of.

Boy, ain't that the truth!  I'd like to see "Gravity."  I've never seen a 3D movie, but that one seems worth going to a 3D showing.

I read posts last night in a "Saturday" thread, including one from Janice with a very cute photo of her girls in costume.  It took me a minute to realize the thread was started a month ago -- on another Saturday.  There's no way on the "sticky note" format to see what date the thread was started . . . I think that would be helpful.  Anyway, your kids are so cute, Jan!

It was quite dark even near 7am here because it's drizzly and very grey and cloudy.  Good day to stay in and watch football.

The auction was really fun last night.  Great turnout.  So many amazing costumes.  Some were really scary while others were hilarious.  One of my favorites was a lady dressed as Tippy Hedren from "The Birds."  She had black birds a attached all over her clothes, and her hair was all messed up.  So funny.  DH's make-up was grossing everyone out.  I'll have to post a pic later today.

Hello, all! I am going to try the new version of the forum, so who knows if I'll get it right. I bought a new computer and that seems to be helping with some issues I was having with speed, etc.

There really isn't much new here--the weather's getting colder, the days shorter. I have been in my apple pie making mood lately--tonight it's crisp instead of pie. I have to try to find some Northern Spy apples to test. They're supposedly really good as pie apples but hard to find.

I have started looking for a second dog :-) Mozey and I miss Sinbad and I like having two dogs. I met a sweet, super gentle mixed breed this weekend. She's a rescue and is with Sinbad's foster Mom.  I am sure I'll go back this week to visit again :-)

I haven't been to the movies in forever--Gravity is on my list to see, though. I didn't know it was 3-D! That would be really cool.

It's nice to have you posting, Kate.  I think any dog would be fortunate to come and live with you and Mozey.  I want some apple pie. :)

Kate good luck with the maybe new dog :)  keep us updated!

I didn't realize yesterday's thread was forever ago. Gah . I wish they would do something with this new website soon. It feels abandoned and not just by us.

Did you know that it is not only dark at 6 am but also at 7?:) I blissfully slept until 730 this mornin when the sun was coming up. This was a good things since I got about 3 hrs of sleep the night before.

Sar camp weekend was fun and productive. Abbie did wonderfully and the weather mostly cooperated (for this time of year). My winter gear is well broken in again. Hats gloves snow pants winter coats and ear coverings. Oh and plenty of tissues for the constantly runny noses that comes with working outside in cold weather. :)

I wonder if I can post a photo?

This is Abbie's celebratory upside down belly wiggle after making a find and playing with her frisbee. I wish you all could see it. It makes me laugh every time.

Here's a pic of her working one of our problems

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels this way, Julie.  You expressed it perfectly.

I love those photos!  Her joy comes right through in that first one.  The happy, "wiggle on the back belly up" thing that dogs do is definitely fun to watch.

Kate!  It's nice to hear from you.  We've missed your posts and the news from the island.  I'll be eager to hear what happens with the potential new dog.  Like Jackie said, any dog that finds it's way to your house is very lucky, indeed.
