Poor DH didn't sleep much at all last night. He's working today and tomorrow and think it'll help to be busy. I'm feeling really sad about the whole thing. I know how hard he studied and how badly he wanted this.

Thankful for this gorgeous weather. 7 day forecast is low 80s or high 70s and sun, sun and more sun :)

Me back to the dr. this morning -- I've got what amounts to a lipoma on the side of MY foot.  But b/c of the fricking psoriasis I am no sort of surgical candidate but, just like with dogs, these things can turn nasty.  Suddenly it's gotten bigger & it's sore.  I just wanted to say WOOF!

Told my dr. this morning that if he were my vet he'd have it aspirated already (Doc is a mega dog person).  But because of my skin he's given me a script for abx **if** it turns hugely painful and otheriwise ice it many times a day.  

It would be easier if I was one of my dogs ....

(PS, my mom's dog is doing ok.  Her attitude waxes and wanes - was improved after they started proin and she wasn't leaking/wetting herself anymore, but she's just not herself. Even Gracie can tell, b/c Zoe doesn't want to play at all.)

Cool overcast day.  If the temps were lower, I'd expect snow flurries to be hitting the ground.  It's that time of year!  

side effects are yuck.  Wish she had a TCVM vet near her -- that powder Luna is on rocks.

Cathy I am so sorry to hear your DH didn't pass.  I feel bummed for him, but I'm glad he seems to be handling it well.  Stinks that they do it so infrequently.

Ouch Callie, that sounds painful.

I can't say too much since its the internet, but no one at my job is feeling to happy right now.  We were told yesterday that they are talking about most likely moving 2 of our product lines out of our facility and to a different plant.  This is going to have a huge impact, not only for a lot of people here, but also for other local companies we do business with.  :(

That is a bummer about the 2 products being moved to another plant. That type of thing is so depressing because you know how much it is going to hurt people. :(

Cathy,sorry about the test failure and that it is bothering your dh sothat he is losing sleep that sucks. I'm very jealous of your weather though. I saw snow today!

The fall colors were gorgeous today on my drive north though. Even if it was a frozen wet mix of crappy weather out. I need to go buy some new rain gear this week I'm thinking.

Not much else going on here. Feeling pretty brain dead after roughly 7 hrs in a car and meetings in between.

Steph - it's good to see you stop by and especially with that adorable picture. We don't see nearly enough pictures of your boy or if you're posting them, I haven't found them yet ;). Good thoughts for everyone affected by changes at your company :(

I've been in a general funk all day. It's probably good that DH is working since I wouldn't make a very good cheerleader right now. I can't stop thinking about how hard he studied and how badly he wanted this. I'd have been such a neurotic mom if I'd had kids.

It's still sunny and nice outside, so maybe if I get out there, I'll feel better.

Cathy that sux for your husband ... I had to go look up "yesterday" to find out what was up (I have been SO out of the "loop" -- loopy??   yep, s'me!  looped??  ... mmm not yet)

Seriously -- there are times we caretaker types wind up taking stuff like that harder than they do simply because we DO know how hard they tried .. but you're right - then we fail Cheerleader 101.

Thanks for the well-wishes - actualy this is more good than bad.  "good" that it's in the "we should be able to avert cellulitis" and my deeper fear was him saying "ohhh I don't like the look of this" -- and he didn't. 

But do I have to have everything my dogs do??

LOL trust me, I'm sure that HE knows how cute he is and he hams it up at every opportunity so that EVERYONE knows.  We were at small local sub shop (its real close to our house, affordable, & good food so we're there a lot) and the waitress was pulling him around the restaurant in the high chair and ALL the diners were watching/laughing with him.
