@JackieG
dogs with long, whippy tails that wag a lot often injure them.
Ruby's tail definitely falls into the category of "long and whippy." And what she's usually whacking it against is me or DH. Hitting our legs is one thing, but we put ourselves at great risk when we crouch to greet her when we come home. I've been whipped across the face more than once. That would be an interesting thing to explain to an ER doctor if I had an eye or cheekbone injury!
Birthday wishes going out to Julie and to Tina's son! In honor of the special occasions, western Oregon is having absolutely spectacular autumn weather today: bright sun, high 60's. Expected all week, so that's a gift for me, birthday or not!
Cathy, it's funny you don't like the honeycomb shades. We have those in the bedrooms, but we put the wide-slat horizontal blinds in the living & dining rooms. We often say how much we wish we'd done honeycombs everywhere. They're so much lighter and easier to pull up and down, and no dusty slats! But there are drawbacks to any style.
Deb, welcome back! Did you go to the Bahamas? For some reason I thought you went to Hawaii, but your drink is telling me otherwise!
