    The Old was Better

I do not like this new forum, the way it is set up.  I have to log in every time I come here and half the time I cant' find a way to post stuff.  Takes me forever to  get it set up so I can post.  Like the old one MUCH better.

I do not like it either, never remembers me either, have to log in everyday.  Hard to find anything, and so much old stuff still on here.  Glad I'm not the only one. :)

Too much  on the screen at any given time.  I always preferred the KISS system.

I like my learning curves short and gentle.

I agree with you guys, but I remember how much I totally hated the last change too.  Then I got to like it and that's what we all liked better than now.

I think this forum is still BETA, a testing stage, and they are trying to work out the bugs as they go along before it goes "live" with the real deal.  I'm thinking we need to give them time to "fix" it, and US time to get used to the changes.

But, I'm an old fart and find it difficult to adjust to all the changes, and I really dislike having to log in every time I visit, but.......all in good time.  I hope.

Ok folks. First of all thanks for all your feedback once again. Let me tackle each of your concerns.

As @glenmar says, this is a beta, which for the non-technical means it is a test site. But rather than just work out the bugs, we're actually going to be tightening the way the site works rather than making major additional dramatic changes.

As for login, you really shouldn't have to do that, so that is a bug and we will fix it. It seems the Remember Me feature is not always working as it should.

We've said all along that we know change can be disorienting and in fairness, because this was a test, we launched the site without any real education as to how it worked. When we go live with the improved version in the next few weeks, it should make a whole load more sense. And, the things that are different will be explained more clearly.

So in the meantime, please bear with us and once I'm in a position to share the improvements, trust me I will be all over them.

Got a huge one for you....please put the sigs back so people will quit calling me glenmar!  Wink  I honestly have a given name and I much prefer it.  Just so you know, I'm Glenda.  And, I'm pulling your leg just a bit.

Glenda, I am with you----an old fart of 68.  I am pretty computer stupid and all this change doesn't help me any at all.  I am also a "rut person" and like to keep things jus tthe way they are if they ain't broke.

I'm an old far also of 81.  Pretty computer literate I think, glad to see there are a lot of changes coming for the better, I'm still hanging in.

So, us old farts need to unite and figure it out together.

I'm an old fart of 60 and I don't know why places always have to change their website design when what they have is working. I don't know what was the problem with the other one. I guess I just don't like change and it will take some time to get used to this. The format we just had and very much were familiar with and liked, was what we didn't like when they changed it the last time, just as Glenda has said. So I guess in time we will get to like this too....Maybe :) I too have to log in each time. I wish we good look down through all the different topics and see if someone has posted anything new to that topic, just as we could before and that the dates were there not just that you will see the date when you open the particular post. I'm plugging away at trying to work through this.

Your are right. I am facing same problem like you.

Hello: The timeout issue is being looked into. With regard to all your other comments, we are looking at all the issues we can. It's just taking a little longer to get things right. Will come back with a more detailed update soon. Jonathan

Add me to the list of those who have to log in every time I come here.    I agree with Doug, too- way too much stuff on the screen.  It goes beyond being able to ignore it- I manage to do that with the ads on Facebook.  The clouds make it hard on my eyes.  My eyes start hurting after about 5 minutes.

Why do things always need to be changed?  They do that on Facebook and drives me nuts.  I am a "rut person" and I like to things to stay jus as they are--especially since my vision has gotten so bad.  I hate having to hunt and hunt and try to figure ne things out.
