    Sunny Saturday!

I am alive! I am alive!

sigh - long, long days but all is good

Jano I am so glad Willa is loving life the way she is - as an ex-music teacher I will suggest that if she takes drum lessons, make sure they teach her to READ music.  Very often they teach rhythms/rudiments and the kid never learns to read music at all.

Its a beautiful day here - been out with B already. He is still fairly unhappy about my schedule but surviving and learning to rely on DH for more things.

Cathy I envy you going to Maui - have a wonderful time

Hope everyone else is doing well

Hi Karen, nice to see you again!

Busy morning already.  "Sat in" on an interview with the old boss, which basically means that I interviewed the girl.  Thumbs down.  Then he started the push to bring me back.  I told him nicely but bluntly that he has to commit to the paper, run it like a business and have financing in place if he wants to keep going, and that we can talk when and if he decides which way he's going to go.  I did encourage him to pull the plug, as gently as I could.

Looked at a perfect house for rent.  Unfortunately it's 1/3 more than what we are paying now, which is already way too much.  However, I'm really getting tired of having people come "look" at our house.  It's been on the market for 4 months and darn it, sometimes I just don't feel like cleaning for people.

Going to take a ride in a few minutes and just relax and enjoy the day.  Hope everyone has a pleasant day!

Karen - I'm so glad Bugsy is doing okay. I'll bet he misses you though.

Smells smoky again this morning but the news says it's just a shift in the winds and it's still the Rim fire. DH was relieved that a new fire hadn't popped up overnight.

Trying to get some packing done today since I'll be working at HB all day tomorrow and then have to work Tuesday. I'll have everything pretty much dialed in by Monday. Picking out what swimsuits to take becomes more difficult when you know you'll be hanging out with your in-laws. Leaving the VS suits at home this time :)

Sore from all the yardwork I did yesterday but need to get some housecleaning done today. I've got some nice tunes on to help me feel motivated but it hasn't helped yet. Hmmm...maybe breakfast will help.

Cathy, I'd take the VS bathing suits along.  You never know when you'll get the opportunity for a midnight swim with your DH. :)

I spent the morning doing yard work.  The weather is just a tiny bit cooler lately and the plants are responding with new growth.  Our Fall growing season is really nice and lasts until mid November usually.  My roses are blooming nicely and many of the other flowers that had been barely surviving through the heat are starting to perk up.

My baby fish are still alive in our little water garden.  I can finally see that they're growing  a little.

Right now I'm watching the movie Flipper made in 1963 with Chuck Connors.  It's funny how much I'm enjoying it since I am not much of a movie watcher.

Karen, it's nice to see you.  I've wondered how things were going with your full day work schedule and how all 3 of you are adjusting to it.  Did you go on the out of town training yet?

Glenda, having to keep a house clean constantly for potential buyers to drop in is beyond annoying.  I hated that when we were selling our old house, but at least we could control it a bit by requiring a one hour advance notice (with Tonka, we didn't allow people in if we weren't home first to contain him).  I keep things relatively clean, but not ideally so for house hunters!

Cathy, I chuckled at your bathing suit choice comment.  It would be easy for me, as I only have one bathing suit, and it's far from qualifying as a VS style!  Stick out tongue

Jackie, our roses were looking best when your tomatoes were peaking.  Funny how our gardens are all different around the country.

I should be cleaning the guest rooms, but I'm outside with Ruby.  She kept getting in my way and wanted someone to sit outside with her.  DH went to run errands but couldn't take her since it's too hot in the car.  I need to get busy, but I guess the dirt and dust will wait for me.

I've been wondering how you've been Karen with the new job and all.

I am in the one bathing suit camp too lol although I suppose if I had a pool I would have several.

I found this pretty large yellow melon of some sort growing put of my compost bin. That was odd. No idea what kind it is but it is about the size of those personal watermelons

Spent the day puttering around various stores. I bought my 6th pair of gym shoes. I buy them and they feel fine it when I actually work out in them something is always off. Hopefully this pair will work. It is getting rather expensive otherwise!

Neiko got groomed today for $30! Loving that price and he looks and feels great. He is mat free for once!

Lol Julie I am the same with running/walking shoes. They feel OK then I put miles in and the one foot I have issues with flares up:( hope yours work out!

To give you an idea of the work load, this week was a 4 day week and I put 47 hours in. That doesn't include the 90+ minutes of commuting each day. I love the work though and the environment suits me so I am fine. I walk B at 5 am and am out the door by 6:45 and usually home about 6 pm. He is way too happy to see me but we are working on a routine, he loves a routine! DH is trying. Hahahaha I will leave it at that.  I spend a little time with both and then am back at work. It will slow some. Tracy I was supposed to be away this week but there were scheduling issues so I am away Thursday through late Saturday night.

I have been super lazy on Saturdays and today was the same.i enjoy spending the time catching up and hanging with B & DH
