I’m more insane than usual today, but, without going into a whole song and a dance  . . . . I need everyone to send me good “B” vibes this afternoon.
     Thanks !!!!

Other than that, I’ve got nothing.

Sitting at the Y waiting for a new staff and a client to get here. Lots of running around today, and the puppy goes home.

Deb, I'm sending you tons of B vibes and I'll even throw in some C vibes, just in case. :)

    • Gold Top Dog

Lots of B vibes headed your way!

I have so much on my brain right now, I may self destruct. Once the next few weeks are done and over with, I may be able to take a deep, relaxing breath.

Sending many "B" vibes to you Deb, even though you forgot my favorite "b" word, blonde. Stick out tongue

Shorted my till $20 on Saturday at work by accidentally repeat punching a ticket right as a race went off. There was no time to cancel it and the horse didn't get anywhere close to the top 2. I had to put the money in out of my pocket. Sad

Then had a very tragic accident after a race on Sunday. A horse veered off after he crossed the finish line and crashed through a fence and into a wall. The jockey was able to jump off before he hit. The horse was not so lucky. This has been a bad season for accidents on our little track, the worse I've seen in 16 years. Gallop free Papa Tango. Crying

Tina, sounds like a crummy weekend at the track.  So tragic about the horse.  I'm glad the jockey wasn't hurt.

    • Gold Top Dog

    Yikes, Tina !!!

In all my years of visiting racetracks, I've seen a couple of horses loaded into the track ambulances but, thankfully, have only seen one horse put down.  (Well, I didn't really see it - it was behind the blackout curtain, but you know what I mean).

Still, always so sad when it happens.

ETA:  Sharon, I hope things calm down for you soon and you can get some rest !!

    B sure I will!!

Tina -- gosh I'm sorry how very very sad. And sorry for the hole in your pocket as well.

For anyone wondering -- The Butler was really good. Growing up in a rural Northern small town, there just wasn't the opportunity to see the worst civil rights offenses. You saw those things on the news but there was no reality to it and I never understood it. Where I was people were still too busy being mean to the Irish, Italian and the folks on the poorer side of town (i.e., just discrimination of a different type). I told David last night, I think I was also just monumentally ignorant -- when I moved down here in the very early 80's I was blown away that there were places here I was "not supposed to go". Well acted, and well done.

Good thots & prayers for Sharon to breathe *now* -- she needs air now!

Air and oxygen are overrated ha!

Yeah, very sad. I did not see the accident (and am glad I didn't) but it's funny how customers don't hesitate to run up and tell us every minute detail. When I saw the track ambulance, I knew. And because we are so small and everyone knows everybody else, the rest of the day just had a black cloud hanging over it.

    Buckets of B vibes!

A bad weekend at the track, so sad.

Busy week ahead. DH left yesterday and will be back Thursday afternoon and Little Man is not used to Daddy leaving on Sunday. He is also not feeling 100% with not too much appetite and lots of sleepiness. Monroe is also trying to throw up occasionally, not the bloat type but the hmmmm, I think I'll heave now type. Lots of things to keep an eye on.

I changed the sheets, pillows and blankets on my bed yesterday so Morrison is in 7th heaven, the only totally happy boy.

    On-board computer burning continues.....

Hugs for you Sarah & get well for your boys.

Bugsy was even more miserable this morning when I left, sigh.

    Calming vibes Sharon

Can't recall other posts - very limited slow phone access here, this was my 3rd attempt to post :(

Sending lots of B vibes to you, Deb, along with the C vibes someone else offered, and I'll throw in some A's (because I was a nerdy student and was very upset if I didn't get A's)!

Oh, and if I can add a couple of my favorite B words:  Brownies and Baskin Robbins (that has some B's in the middle, too!)

What a terrible day at the track, Tina.  I'm glad you didn't have to see it happen.  If I see coverage on the news of those horrific auto accidents on the NASCAR and Indy tracks, I can handle that --- but just the thought of a track accident involving a horse (not to mention the rider) upsets me.  I'd be permanently traumatized if I saw it first-hand.

Sending some good vibes to your household, Sarah, and some calming ones to you, Sharon.  Too much going on for you guys -- no wonder you're feeling overwhelmed.

So nice to have the morning to myself (and Ruby) before work today -- no houseguests insisting that the Today Show be yammering on the TV (I prefer the low-key nature of CBS This Morning).  No talking, just me, my cereal, and Ruby waiting for a bite.  It's the little things that please me.

I hear you! DH likes to dock his iPhone and listen to NPR or CBC podcasts while he cooks. When he forgets to turn it off when we sit down to eat it drives me crazy! I also don't want to say anything since he did all the cooking. It's usually at such a low volume that I can barely make out the words so it's just noise. I ask him, "Can you hear what they are saying?" and he replies, "No, but I like having the sound."

    Everyone is different.

All the computers piled up in my cubicle have been burned with the program they need. Now I just need the dude to come take them away.

I think I'll leave work a smidgen early today as I've an overly worried Momma today.
