    The haircut (janobonano)

    For the non-facebookers...

I like the way it looks, but it feels sooooo different! I keep thinking my hair is pulled back in a pony tail. My neck is freezing, and I've already got my bangs pinned back in a barrette! It will take some time to get used to.

!!!!! It looks so smart and cute! I laughed at your "my neck is freezing" comment LOL. I can't imagine! What did the kids and DH say?

    • Gold Top Dog

Wow !!  You look beautiful and the haircut makes you look "edgy", "young" and "chic" !!!

Not that you looked old to begin with, but you know what I mean.

I give it two thumbs ups !!!! YesYes

     I love it!!

Stunning!!!  Looks lovely, you will get used to it.

NEVER go from long to short in winter -- guaranteed way to catch a sore throat, with the back of the neck suddenly exposed.  BTDT, lol.

    You look great, Jano!

    Thanks everyone!

I've been wanting to do it for like a year now. I just kept putting it off because of the maintenance (getting it cut once a month instead of twice a year) and I know what a pain it is to grow out. I finally just thought what the heck. I made the appointment and tried not to think about it for two days so I wouldn't change my mind. lol

Julie, Sonja keep saying, "You don't look like mama." hee hee. Willa, my little tomboy, wants her hair just like it. I told her in about 5 or so years. DH likes it. Smile

Jan - I love it!! I had to look at the before and after a few times trying to figure out why you and not just the hair look so different. I can't put my finger on it but the difference is remarkable. Yay for you!!

I agree with Deb -- super chic! I love it, and I think it makes your eyes really stand out. It's nice your DH likes it; some guys insist their gals have long hair.

I wore my hair very long most of my life, then cut it about that short when I was about 35. It was so easy-care, but I was always cold! The guy who sat in the desk near mine would walk incredibly fast, and I told him he had to slow down when he walked behind my chair because he created a draft that froze my neck. I wore a lot of scarves back then! :-)

Yep I can imagine "mom" that you don't look **LIKE** Mom! LOL.

I never voluntarily had short hair in my life -- my mother always insisted on it and even now at 89 she is STILL trying to tell me to become "respectable" and have short hair LOL

I can't deal with the maintenance of short hair on a day to day basis. I'm a night shower person and having to get up every morning and stick my head in the sink because my hair sticks up is a deal-killer for me (No ... there is nothing foofy nor feminine about me at all LOL). With it long I can braid it or wind it up with a scrunchie and look quasi-respectable. (laughing at myself -- I am sooooooooooo not good with hair styling) Let's hope the girls don't go to someone and say "I gotta new MOM yesterday!!" LOL

Yes, I did have some cray-zay bedhead this morning! lol

I'm going to have to get some styling goop or powder to make it look good like the stylist did. Or attempt to - it never looks as good when I do it. Geeked

I've also discovered how this new 'do really accents all my silver highlights. :/

I jost love it, and it suits you.  Ha, natural silver highlights, now that is something you can't get in a bottle.

    You look very nice.

    • Gold Top Dog

Cute, cute! Makes you look younger IMO.

I like it :D  But I did a similar drastic chop a year or 2 ago, so maybe I'm biased.

I agree though, the more frequent hair appointments are a pain, but now that I've gotten used to styling it, it seems to be easier/faster to look "put together" then when it was long.
