    Triple H Wednesday chat

yup another hot and hazy one today - there was a gorgeous sunrise with the full (ish) moon, I wanted to grab my camera but instead i had to watch B hack up a HUGE wad of grass. Goodness knows how long that's been in his gut. Feel like we really skirted a potential blockage. He's always eaten grass but just pooped it out, now its another thing to worry about.

Haven't tried my car yet - hoping that battery was all I needed to fix

Busy day again. Yesterday i got asked about a potential contract job - someone I interviewed with last year who really liked me but didn't give me the contract. Really hoping this year I get the contract.

That's all - big storms due later

Hope your car starts, Karen. And that the contract job works out this time.

    How's your arm today, Jackie?

My siding was repaired yesterday and now I have my new porch light up, too.

Not much else. It was about 50 degrees this morning, and cool enough to wear a jacket on the bike ride in.

Good luck Karen on the car and the contract. Lay off the grass a bit there Bugs.

I'm not working until 3:30 this afternoon because both of my earlier appointments rescheduled. I guess it's nice. No early mornings this week until tomorrow.

    Wolverine movie tomorrow night!

Yeah Bugs, slow down on the grazing dude.

Arm looks much better this morning. Glad I didn't go in now because I know the doc would have put me on antibiotics and I don't like taking them unless it's really necessary.

I'm glad the siding got fixed Tina.  Please don't tell me about your 50 degree weather in freaking July.  That must feel wonderful. :) We're our usual broiling hot 100 degrees this week.

Tons to get done today so I better get back to the grind.  Hope everyone has a good day.

I missed saying "bye and safe travels" to Tracy yesterday. I hope the flight was uneventful and she has a great time.

Karen - good luck with the new battery and potential new contract.

I really don't want to go to work today. Hopefully today won't be as frustrating as yesterday was.

    LOL!

Forgot to mention, I still owed $500 on the siding, but had been holding it until I got resolution on a couple other issues. I handed the contractor the check last night and he said he'd forgotten about it. I said, "I'm sure your office would catch it once they audited their accounts" and he said, "I don't know, the secretary is kind of flighty." Figures I would be honest about it, but it's not worth the bad karma. Huh?

I have exactly one ripe pear tomato on my plant. It's such a pretty yellow, I can't wait to eat it!

I tend to think the same way. We still owe the final 1/2 of payment for the pool replaster but a tile guy was supposed to lay a big piece of tile between the spa and pool. He hadn't shown up when they finished the plaster job last week, so DH wouldn't give the crew the final payment and let the main office know why. We expected them to get the guy out asap but maybe they're just really busy. It's nice to know we have some leverage left.

How does work pile up so much overnight? :(

Crossing fingers, and paws, for good car batteries, smooth flights, pool tiles and landed contracts.

The contract I currently have was just extended indefinitely. The problem that one customer has which I am the solution to, has appeared in about 5 other customers. Yay for me but bad for the company. Hopefully my presence and help with make everyone feel better about this SNAFU.

This office is pretty casual - jeans are typical. This morning, as I literally ran out the door, I slipped on my usual leather shoes. I dropped Little Man off at daycare and was more than halfway to the office before I realized what I had on my feet.

Crocs. Yup. My running the dogs out into the yard, wading in the lake, good for gardening but never wear in public, bright, blue Crocs.

With no time to go back home before I have to be on the phones with upset clients - I continued on to work.

    So embarrassed!

Deb, must you come back and start berating us right away?  Can't you cut us mere mortals some slack and realize we just don't have your skills when it comes to finding great drinks to post?  Here we've been slaving away day after day with no drink of the day, praying you'd return and have some mercy and post a nice refreshing drink photo and what do we get.........

We get our Deb back and I'm so happy I could drink myself into oblivion. Big Smile  OK, maybe just a nice buzz since oblivion sounds sort of permanent. lol  Glad to see your smarta$$ mouth is still working. Wink
