If she sees you handling them all the time, then she probably figures if she has them she is that much closer to you!

Puppies are funny, my DH was sitting at the computer yesterday, and Freida wanted some belly rubs from him, so to get his attention, she started to chew on the level that raises and lowers the chair he was sitting on!  (do you think she knew it lowered and raised the chair!)  But she got his attention, and some rubs!

 I thnk it is scent plus, since you have the ALL the time they must be important -- MORE important than she is!  LOL

 Bugsy was obsessed with my DH's reading glasses, he could find them anywhere. DH took to trying to hide them which made it worse. Then he just bought huge packs of cheap ones.

I feel for you!  Prescription shades are NOT cheap!! After getting a pair chewed up years ago (not by Max) I adopted a "on my face or in the case" policy. That works for me since the case lives in my purse.  At least now I always know where they are.
