    Halloween Pics (janobonano)

Better late than never, I suppose! Geeked

Willa was Wolverine and Sonja was a Tiger. We went to the Y on Friday for their Halloween Trail, then went to my gramma's neighborhood for trick-or-treating on Wednesday. They totally scored there, lol. We walked around about four blocks and they came home with full buckets. There were hardly any other kids out so whenever anyone saw them coming, they each got a handful of candy. Five houses handed out a little goodie bag filled with candy. The kids had fun but it was chilly. Willa ended up wearing her winter jacket over her costume. I had to carry Sonja about 75% of the way. So I don't feel guilty when I eat candy out of the bowl. I earned it! Stick out tongue

Yes, she is wearing her fleece elephant jammies (and long underwear!) under her costume. lol. Hey, it was in the high 30s/low 40s.

They are so cute!  I just love the tiger costume -- definitely a tiger who looks cuddly!  And before I read what you wrote under it, I thought to myself, "Can I see elephants under Willa's costume?  She must have long underwear on!"

Good job "earning" the candy.  I've been eating all our leftovers, and I didn't do anything to earn it other than go to the store and buy it, then stand at the door and pass it out to kids.  Not exactly hard work OR calorie burning activity!!  :-)

     So cute!

We keep telling Hannah she needs to pick costumes that she can put warm clothing underneath.  The last 2 years she has picked things that are spaghetti sleeves and then gets upset when she has to cover it w/ a coat.  She got lucky this year and we ended up just doing the mall trick or treat so she was inside, but she definitely didn't get as much candy and got bored faster.

Awesome costumes!!!!!!  Yeah, I always wondered what it would be like to trick or treat in a warm climate and not have to worry about "what will this look like with a coat".

Thanks everyone! So far Willa has changed her mind about 3,507 times about what she's going as next year. lol

I did score four costumes at $5 each from Hellmart clearance (batman, rapunzel, ariel, buzz lightyear.) I think I'm going to save them for Christmas presents for their dress-up bin.

What a great idea!  So much better than finding them digging through your closet or bureau drawers, looking for "costumes" (that's what we used to do when I was a kid, and my mother did not appreciate it)!

Love the Hellmart reference; I'm going to remember that!

I had to run to Hellmart with the kids to pick up some milk this morning. The costumes are now 75% off, so they each got to pick one. lol! Yay for clearance! Stick out tongue  Willa got Transformers Bumblebee (she's a tomboy in case you haven't noticed) and Sonja got a robot.
