    Thursday chatting

It is almost friday. Almost. We did a moving/scared of dogs victim last night for abbie. Talk about funny. He was sitting against a tree and when she came up to him he jumped up screaming then ran away. She was like WTF! And ran back to me barking the entire way then chased after him and he took off yelling again. So she ran back to me barking like wth he isn't staying put!! Totally blew her mind. On the last refind she stood next to me and looked from him to me like "you go get him". She wasn't afraid in any way, just baffled as to why someone would run away from her. Needless to say, we will work on more afraid victims in the coming days. Haha it was amusing but she does need to do it without being dumbfounded. I have writers block on a letter I need to write.

    Poor Abbie.

Now I'm coughing up crap. That's no good. At this point I should probably go to the doctor, but I really don't have time today or tomorrow. Maybe if I get tea, that will fix it. Right? Tea fixes these things.

     lol Julie! Poor confuzzled Abbie.

I was really hoping today was payday, but then I realized it's not until next week. Crying

Thank goodness we are getting closer to the end of the week.

What a hoot Abbie must have been!

running sooooo far behind today I'll be running this afternoon still trying to catch up.  Sigh.

Oh, and we might get hit with a hurricane on Monday???  WTH??

Oh, and we might get hit with a hurricane on Monday???

I was watching the news last night and the weather people are saying conditions may be right for a "perfect storm", the way the warm and cold fronts may converge. Crazy stuff. It'll be a mess if it does happen.

Today we are supposed to hit mid-70s here then only mid-50s tomorrow.

I went to bed early last night because I felt like crap - sore throat, cold. I'm feeling much better today.

    Abbie, you are silly!

Deb & Karen, have fun today! Don't do anything I wouldn't do. No, wait, scratch that. Do everything I wouldn't do or you'll be really bored. Wink Don't forget pictures!

Crazy, busy here with a quick wave to everyone! The idea of the Sandy hurricane hitting New England is just too exciting--NOT! If it arrives on the perfect storm path, we'll get totally slammed.

The dogs are loving the cooler weather--they were dog bed surfing last night and this morning :-) Mozey runs and zooms onto the dog bed and off she goes surfing/sliding a couple feet. Sinbad follows and tackles her when the bed stops.

    OK, off to work.

LOL Abbie!!! I wish I could watch you guys in action.

Jen - tea or really any liquid will help loosen things up. I hope you feel better soon.

Tina - glad you feel better.

Today is the last day of crummy weather and then we'll be warming up again. It's only been 4 days of crummy weather but it has been depressing. I'm definitely not a winter weather person.

I really thought on Saturday it was just from the milkshake. I wasn't expecting it to go on all week.

Why does my student want me to pay me to read things instead of send them to me ahead of time? Oh well, I guess it's her problem. If she sends it to me beforehand, I will read it for free. It doesn't take me more than 15 minutes or so, so I don't mind doing that. If she waits to show me till we meet, she pays for my time.

Deb and Karen are running amuk on the eastern seaboard???? And I was worried about hurricane Sandy Wink  Hope all of you are safe from the storms will keep sending no storm vibes.

We are to have some rain today and after that a cold front.  It is currently 74 degrees (yesterday was 81) and after the rain we will drop rapidly so they say to 39 tonight and 40 tomorrow. Brrrrrr!

Julie the story about Abbie and the scared human made me laugh!

Have a good day all.....Karen and Deb have lots of fun!

I don't know what is more irritating: the constant telemarketing calls we get at work or the office idiot who transfers them to me instead of just hanging up on them. Hmm
    • Gold Top Dog

The office idiot would be more irritating.  The telemarketer is just doing their job, but the office idiot isn't doing theirs by keeping them from you!

Today just sucks.  I've had two employees who had to drastically reduce their hours, as of this week, causing me to have to pull them from shifts.  Another caregiver with a family emergency and 39 hours on the schedule I absolutely have to get filled.  Boss isn't going to like paying overtime, but going to people who are already at or close to 40 hours is my only option.  Blech!  That's just this week, next week I have a ton of open shifts, I can't seem to sweet talk anyone into taking.

I also feel blah today.  Tired and slow moving.  Must. Not. Get. Sick.  I have no time for illness right now.

ROFL!  My thoughts exactly! :)  I too hope the storm isn't as bad as predicted.  We're getting the cold front tomorrow too, Gin.  Can't wait for a little cool off since we've been mid to high 80's all week and very humid.

Twister had his second chemo treatment this morning.  He's doing great and we'll get another ultrasound in three weeks to see how thinks are looking.

I met a really nice woman who fosters for our local AC.  She had the sweetest foster dog with her for physical therapy.  The dog was adopted out but returned after two weeks unable to walk.  The woman who had adopted the dog said she had no idea how the dog was injured.  The dog has three broken vertebrae and seems she might have been hit by a car. :(  I hope she can regain full use of her back legs as she is the sweetest dog. The foster mom is having to foot all the medical bills as AC won't help with medical after two months in the foster program.  :(

Tina lol that is funny! not to you I am sure but seriously, why would someone transfer a telemarketer call? *shakes head*

Sharon, bleh, I am feeling for you. Don't get sick!

I need some new underarmor type pants for this weekend.

Maybe I can talk my brother into making me a platform to put lilys car crate on so I can get some storage underneath. Hmmm!

Awww poor foster dog.  Sending really good healing vibes.

Twister, rah rah rah....we are cheering you on here in NWA. Big Smile

Ok, sun is gone clouds have moved in...just waiting for the rain now.

Very unlikely the hurricane will actually come this way since I'm fully prepared for it. I didn't do it intentionally since I only heard about the possibility yesterday, but....got the propane tank filled, picked up additional candles and batteries, just because it's that time of year and did the plastic bags full of water for the fridge freezer and the deep freeze thing, and really don't know why I did that since both are stuffed pretty darned full anyway.

However, now that I know the real story, that this is not an actual hurricane made by nature, but rather Deb and Karen tearing up the coast.......
