Did anyone  else see this girl singing with Katy Perry?

If you watch the whole thing, the therapy, that's a bit of what I do. The gains this kid has made, that's what we hope for. I saw the girl on GMA this morning, and I thought she looked familiar. I couldn't figure out where I would have seen her before though. Then I watched the whole video just now. The person in this, Bridget Taylor, I've seen at conferences. I'm pretty sure I've seen videos of Jodi at conferences.

***QUICK QUESTION**** - I know there was a time where someone set up a donation site for someone on this board.  It was a site where folks could anonymously donate money thru PayPal or other sources.  Can someone send me a link?  I want to suggest it as a resource to set up something similar for a family whose husband/father died this week.  Strangers want to help.

    Thanks! - P

Ouch!  I feel about the same.  I was hoping to get away early today but one thing after another keeps cropping up and then I realized that my coworker is without his truck and I'll have to take him home.  If I had thought about that earlier I wouldn't have had two of the guys take the spare truck in for service and he could have driven that home.

For some strange reason I'm craving pizza and beer. lol

Jen, I haven't looked at that link yet but it reminded me about a short clip on our local news about a friend's therapy dog group.  They did a piece on the work they do at a nursing home for people with Alzheimer's and dementia.  It was only a few minutes long but so nice to see how the people's faces lit up at the sight of the dogs. :)   Makes me wish that Rex had liked therapy work because I know I would enjoy helping out seniors in this way.

That video was amazing and I'm still wiping away tears.  What an amazing child and such a lucky one to have the opportunity to be taught by professionals who can bring out all she has to offer. Thanks for sharing, Jen.

Lots of links posted today!  I'd seen the Katy Perry video; it was a good one.  It's amazing how music can affect people, especially those with physical or developmental disabilities.  Our friends have a child with Down Syndrome, and music has been a strong influence in her progress from the time she was born.

Bugsy looks like he's ready for the Dog Olympic Swim Team!  As for the woman and her Pug, that's just bizarre (not to mention painful).  I'll wait to find the baby elephant video and watch it at home since I don't want to be teary at my desk.

Ginger, that arts and craft show sounds awesome!  I love going to things like that, and it would be great to visit one in another area since it would have artists and craftspeople I've never seen.  I wish it weren't so far away -- I'd check it out for sure.

It's rainy today and it's so dark out that I had to leave lights on for Ruby when I left for work, otherwise she'd be sitting in the dark all alone.  She has the radio to listen to, but she needs a bit of light as well.  No, she's not spoiled.

Luke goes to the dementia floor. Some of the people, it's so great to see them react. There's one man there they'll never let me leave without someone attempting to wake him up so he can see Luke. Once he's awake enough to realize why he's been woke up, he just lights up. I can never quite understand what he's saying to Luke, but it always sounds like they're having a good conversation.

The kid in that video, I'm pretty sure I saw video of her from earlier years. Most of the kids I work with don't speak much at all, and not everyone makes as much progress as others, but every one of them has made great progress.

I need to watch that video, Jen..........not just yet though

So I am usually sooooooooooo careful with important documents..............can't find one that I had set aside two days ago..........fortunately found a blank through their website and can manually fill it out. ARGH! Today is nuts!

Thanks ladies re B, he is amazing now, to think he was a fairly poor swimmer not too long ago, and wouldn't swim the first two years of his life. The firemen that were shooting water at us talked to me afterward asking if he was a water rescue dog Big Smile I am so proud of him. He doesn't even get winded and I think in his head he thinks that he's doing one long retrieve which is why he won't give up the toy. Thanks for looking.

    Paige glad that helped

OK let's see what other wall I can run into this afternoon
