whispering quietly..........its gorgeous here today. We suffered through a miserable day yesterday but today is worth it.

I need to take the amphibious beast for a swim this morning, trying to find a window of time to do it. A day of rest and he is WIRED!

He finished his day of rest by catching a rabbit last night, sigh. Critters this isn't the best yard to hang out in!

A friend of mine is head of security at Hofstra University,,,,,,,,,,,,he's already had a long week and today will surely be a test

My tv has sound first thing this morning, and now it has no sound. Even if I got a new one, not that I can afford it, how do I even know it's the tv? Trying to rationalize not spending the money I shouldn't be spending.

Birthday Cake Martini

Canned frosting
Nonpariels, sprinkles, or colored sugar

2 oz UV Cake Vodka
1 oz Disarrono Amaretto
1 oz Godiva White Chocolate Creme Liqueur
3 oz coconut cream

Using a clean fingertip, smear a thin ring of frosting around the edge of an 8oz martini glass. Pour some nonpareils into a shallow dish, gently roll frosted glass edge in them, to coat.

Measure remaining ingredients into a shaker. Add a handful of ice, shake a few times, strain into a martini cocktail glass.

I'll only whisper about our weather too. It was in the low 80s yesterday and is supposed to be a few degrees warmer today. It feels nothing like Fall but I'm not complaining.

I'm anxious to get today's Board mtg over with.

Today my sweet granddaughter Addison (Addy) is 6.  She is the one whose mom was very sick after coming home from the hospital and had to go back.  I stayed with the baby Addy, and took care of her for the first 7 days of her life, it is a very special day.  I was scared to death because it had been so many years since I was solely in charge of a baby.  Needless to say, she spent alot of time in Grandmas arms, thank goodness for Boppy's :).  When my kids were little there was no such thing as a boppy it is the best thing to buy for a new mom.

I went to Tulsa Sunday for my two youngest granddaughters birthday party.  They are 1 week and 1 year apart and they are BFF's :)  We usually have one party for them both makes it much easier on everyone.  Since we have a good relationship with ex's and ex-in-laws it also makes it wonderful for the grandkids too.  It was so much fun watching them...they grow up so fast. 

We had some crazy storms Friday and Saturday but the last 2 days have been so beautiful.  The trees are starting to change although we have had mostly warmer weather we have had a few nights where the temp dipped down in the low 40's.  When I drove to Tulsa the hills we just so pretty with all the colors.  I am thinking Ron and I should take our fall foliage tour soon.

Finger crossed and good vibes please.....going to one of the local banks today to see what they can do to help me get the HVAC and  new roof.  Already approved by the HVAC folks but dont like the terms too much, kinda hoping to get a local loan and get both done. We'll see.

The weather is kinda weird today.  It is very windy and just a few minutes ago it was sorta snowing, but only on the backside of the building.  The front side was sunny (the middle just overcast lol).  

The significant other and I are looking for a new dining room table and chairs.  Solid wood, better quality lol (our other one has been thrown out because a leg was busted on it and it was beyond repair - we bought the set for maybe a couple hundred dollars so it was never expected to last a lifetime; it's lasted about 8 years).  The one we liked is too much money, about 5K with the table and 6 chairs.  Ouch!  We have some other options lined up but it's such a hard decision, since it'll be with us for many many years.  Thankfully, the significant other and my taste in furniture is pretty similar
