sunday funday

    sunday funday

Not really a funday with all this rain (i will be outside all day) but at least it will be back in the 60s. Cathy, from yesterday, my fridge is kind of limping along as I fiddle with this and that trying to fix it. I have been eating out alot since there's no food left ;p it is back to making ice though! I will prob suck it up and have someone come out to fix it for good on tues. I have been just putting off the inevitable. How cold is a fridge supposed to be anyway? I need to brush up on abbies CU mat work this week. Which means crating the other 2 while we work, which means bringing crates in from the garage.

More rain here this morning--not much yet, but I have no what's coming. We weren't supposed to have any rain Friday, and it poured. I need to clean and get caught up on laundry.

Sinbad is de-stuffing a toy as I type. Bugsy, you'd be proud :-)

Julie, I hope you can get your fridge fixed Tuesday.

It's a little rainy here today.

Not much going on other than finishing up laundry and heading to the grocery store.

Sinbad, Twister says de stuffing toys is at the top of his list of favorite things to do.  I give him a toy every day to destroy. :)  I found some little hedgehog looking toys at Bed Bath and Beyond a few weeks ago.  The sound they make is hilarious, as it sounds like the Tribbles on the old Star Trek episode.  It cracks me up every time I hear it.  After I saw how much he loved this toy, I went back and bought all they had in stock. :)

Julie, hope the fridge gets fixed on Tuesday and that it's not too pricey.

You are such a good dog mom!!

Julie - my fridge is currently showing 36 degrees.

I slept until 7 today and feel fantastic! It's going to be a gorgeous day and after I get back from the meeting at HB, I'm going to give Shane a bath. I have a small Board mtg on Tuesday and I'll be bringing him to work that day. I hope he's on his best behavior but I'll have a lot of things to distract him just in case he isn't. Big Smile

I hit one of the dog shaming sites-there are several- and I have a wonderful dog-comparably. Do not have a mouthful if you hit one of these sites.

Celebrating the anniversary of my wifes' 21th birthday. Got her an Ipad. May have to get one for me. I hate setting up new electronics. May just call my son.

Happy 21st birthday to your wife Doug Party!!!. An IPad is a very nice gift!

I've seen some of those dog-shaming signs on FB and they're pretty hilarious.

     Brilliant sunshine here

Our fridge says 37* is normal

Doug I agree - Bugsy is an angel compared to the dogs on the shaming sites LOL

Jackie you ARE a very good dog mom!!

Go Sinbad go!!! Happy defluffing :)

I took a long walk and met a few of the neighbors that always say hi to Bugsy - they of course asked where he was and after I told them he wasn't walking much they said, "bring him by so we can say hi" hahahaha He truly has a fan club. In fact when I came back he was playing with another neighbor that is a veterinarian and his 6 yr old son. I'd seen them yesterday when I took B for a short walk and the children want a dog badly and have decided Bugsy is the *best*. Hmmm since both parents are veterinarians it might be the perfect placement for my oft injured dog.

DH is out destroying the shrubs. sigh.

I've done the bulk of the cleaning but there is always some to do. I may also go to the food store. Who knows :)

Blech.  Rain is not my favorite thing.  But, today is heading to the 60's which is an improvement over yesterday and majorly over the 20 degrees we got Friday night!

Better forget the Pacific NW as a potential retirement location, Glenda.  Lots of people retire here because the climate is "mild" (i.e., they don't have to shovel snow), but in my opinion, the dampness does not help arthritis and grey skies don't help mood and energy levels, so I can think of better places to retire!

For example, that gorgeous photo you posted, Karen, makes me wish I was there today.  We're not too cold (mid 60's), but it's drizzly and kind of windy --- not very pleasant.

Doug, I've seen several of those shamed dogs things, and they are hilarious (even though I think some of them are staged).  One that really hit home for me was of three dogs sitting on older living room furniture, and their sign said, "We're the reason Mom and Dad can't have nice things."  As I look around me at the sheets covering furniture and towels laid out in the traffic areas of our new carpeting, I can totally relate!

Happy BD to Mrs. Doug.  I got DH an iPad for his 50th last month --- he hardly puts it down!

Back to watching the Patriots game.  They're in Seattle today.  I told DH we should've tried to get tickets . . . but now that I'm seeing everyone sitting there in crummy weather, I'm glad I'm watching it on TV.  Go figure:  Seattle built a new stadium a few years ago, and it's NOT a dome in this wet climate!

     Happy B-day Mrs. Doug.

Luke is on the roster for his first flyball tournament next Sunday. We don't know if he'll actually run, or even get practice time right now. He's running with a team that practices with ours sometimes. They don't have a height dog at all right now, so they have to jump 12 inches, unless they get someone from another team to run with them.  I figured, I might as well just ask if Luke can warm up with them (you have to be on the roster of a team in order to be in the ring during the warm ups). The worst that could happen is, they say no. The person didn't reply to me (she was waiting to talk to me today) so I thought it was probably a no. It turns out it's just somewhat complicated, so she was waiting to explain in person, rather than try to explain it to me over email. He may just get measured, he may get practice time, and if all goes really, really well, he might even get a few runs. I suppose if I go with the expectation that he'll probably just get measured, anything else is a bonus.

    Happy anniversary!

Karen, I think you are mean for posting such a glorious photo. Today wasn't so bad though, it didn't rain while we trained and it was 70. That all changed tonight though. It is downpouring now and will only be 50 tomorrow

I checked the temp in my fridge and it is 55 so yeah, I will be calling the repairman. I am just annoyed because none of these places will break down the part vs labor cost. They just keep saying, we charge per job. Well, how do i know you arent double dipping? (Having me pay part and labor then also claiming it from the fridge company). I hate dealing with companies that are not up front. What is up with that?

Abbie still stinks from multiple rolls in some sort of critter poop. I bathed and dried her too. Blech.
