Blech. Rain is not my favorite thing.
Better forget the Pacific NW as a potential retirement location, Glenda. Lots of people retire here because the climate is "mild" (i.e., they don't have to shovel snow), but in my opinion, the dampness does not help arthritis and grey skies don't help mood and energy levels, so I can think of better places to retire!
For example, that gorgeous photo you posted, Karen, makes me wish I was there today. We're not too cold (mid 60's), but it's drizzly and kind of windy --- not very pleasant.
Doug, I've seen several of those shamed dogs things, and they are hilarious (even though I think some of them are staged). One that really hit home for me was of three dogs sitting on older living room furniture, and their sign said, "We're the reason Mom and Dad can't have nice things." As I look around me at the sheets covering furniture and towels laid out in the traffic areas of our new carpeting, I can totally relate!
Happy BD to Mrs. Doug. I got DH an iPad for his 50th last month --- he hardly puts it down!
Back to watching the Patriots game. They're in Seattle today. I told DH we should've tried to get tickets . . . but now that I'm seeing everyone sitting there in crummy weather, I'm glad I'm watching it on TV. Go figure: Seattle built a new stadium a few years ago, and it's NOT a dome in this wet climate!
