 I'm still refusing to turn on my heat lol.  It wasn't bad out last night though. 

I started off my morning finding out that a high school classmate has passed away.  For the record, I'm 30 years old.  I wasn't friends with him per say, but we were friendly.  I remember him as an always smiling, never a cross word to anyone type of guy.  Up until recently he'd been out and about, including being at London for the Olympics.  No word on how he died.  It's just really sad and just another reminder life can be cruelly short.

Sorry for the downer this morning.  In funnier news, I had slept on the couch last night and instead of my alarm waking me up, Moki decided to stick her head in my ear, purr really loud and start drooling IN MY EAR.

 Sharon that's super sad - I don't keep up with HS stuff but I recall looking at some site years ago and seeing that some of my classmates had died young, always sad.

Julie how freaking cold is it??? (42* on our outside thermometer at 6am, but sun is up and its warming) We never run our heat at night - well its set at 60*. Both DH & I prefer cool sleeping temps, its a killer during the summer but we've both gotten used to it because it isn't practical to run the AC crazy low so 72* is our overnight temp in the hot months

Bugsy's obsessiveness with 'doing something' every morning drives me nuts. I suppose I should be glad he doesn't bark at me but having his nose 1/2 an inch from my face or having his heavy head on my hands as I type or other histrionics is unpleasant

Why, might I ask, must we love approaching winter?  Yikes, might as well invite that nasty S word!  Which, we have a chance of getting tomorrow. 

It's cold here, but today and tomorrow are supposed to be "mostly" sunny...still in the not mostly, and DRY!!!  Will be nice not to feel soggy all day.

I wish we had some cooler weather here but it's warm and rainy this morning.  Tons of accidents this morning but nothing that interfered with my short commute. 

Five dogs in our small house is a lot o' dogs.  Gabby claimed the visiting dog's crate yesterday and she isn't the type of dog to hang out in a crate.  She loves this one but probably because it's not hers. lol  Ruger then claimed Belle's crate but since Belle loves Ruger, it was all good.

DH and I have been married 37 years today.    My sis sent us a very funny and fitting anniversary card.  Two old people sitting on the porch and the front says something like "the secret to a long and happy marraige is saying those very important three little words".   Inside it says "lets eat out".  LOL

Sharon, I'm sorry to hear about your classmate.

It's about 39 degrees here, probably was in the lower 30s during the night, and I'm about 50 miles north of Julie. I've got the flannel sheets on my bed and a comforter, and of course, flannel p.j.s on plus Buddy to keep me warm. I was almost too hot. I keep the t-stat at 65. As soon as I figure out how to program it, I'll lower it at night.

Mountains of work beckon.

Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs G !!!  Sooooo where is he taking you for dinner tonight

We had some very cool temps earlier in the week but thanks to Texas and the warm air they are sending its in the 60's this morning, cloudy rainy and 70's later.

We have guests coming today too....lol....one of our neighbors is putting his sheep on the 1acre we leave as pasture.  Right now his donkey, my little friend, is on that acre.  Once we started having rain we have had a growing spurt this fall.  He has fixed all the fences on our acre and another neighbors acre and is bringing his sheep over.  It will be interesting to see how the boys react to sheep in their pasture.  He has actually fixed the fence where the boys cant get in for a few days now so they have had to change their morning ritual.  Its kinda funny to watch them as they approach their favorite crawl thru spots and they cant get thru.  They kinda stop like (what's up with this?) then turn and go a different way.  I know Rocky would be a good herder, he herds the cattle of another neighbor but for now we will keep them separated.  Now the only problem is for me to not get attached to any of the sheep cause they are not mine.

I had a dream last night that someone was giving me $10,000.00. it was so real.  I was calling the HVAC guy and telling him to order the heat pump :).  It must be a good sign.

To our favorite place. :)  La Gloria is the name and they've got the best margaritas and great food.  http://www.lagloriaicehouse.com/ We might even splurge and share a piece of Tres Leches cake.  It's so good I'm already drooling just thinking about it.  Today is also his birthday so I guess I'm taking him to dinner. 

Have fun with the sheep, Rocky, but not too much fun.   I hope your dream comes true, Gin.  Wish we were closer because I'd have that heat pump installed for you in two shakes of a lamb tail. :)

I'm going to try HTML tags in my post and see if that will make paragraphs from my phone.

I'm waiting to leave after my allergy shots. I had a reaction to one again, so that got stepped back and the others went up. After that, I need to head to Petsmart, because Luke has fricken fleas. Stupid Certifect. I need to remember to tell the vet it failed when I take him in next. I wonder if there is a way to write a note on the web portal thing, cause I would also like to note that he was also heart and eye clear when checked.

I love love love Tres Leches cake....havent had any in a very long time.  Happy Birthday Mr. G!  

ETA: I have no idea why my other post posted 2x's.   I guess I will soon be finding out how fast two shakes of a lambs tale really is, lol.
